My OEM fridge was same. Pulled it out and it was not wired for 110v...only for 12v. There was a "black box" behind it...some kind of converter to 110v, but I could not get it to work. Ran it off of 12v the entire 3 years I had the boat with never an issue. Freezer was arranged the same way...
+1 with Carter's replies above. I too ran AL in freshwater with excellent results.
I always left the DC breaker for the refrigerator on along with the AC. If you lose AC power, they swap over to DC and everything stays cold.
Away from the boat in the summer, I always left the HVAC set to...
Just a thought...behind the electrical panel in the 420 DA we had, were fuses for the CO detectors and the gain controller for the Glomex. They were very low amps like 3 amp fuses I believe.

Had been with BOATUS on our 2006 260DA and our 2007 44DB. Insurance was with Safe Waters. They initially insured our 2003 420DA, but after one year with it, Safe Waters got out of the insurance business, at least on boats. The best thing BOATUS could come up with was $2400/year on a...
The OEM microwave on our 44DB was a combo convection oven. There was a vent fan mounted to push air over it and out a clam-shell vent on the exterior of the boat. I never realized how hot the cavity above the oven got until one day I was on the dock beside that vent and felt the air coming...
Buy or sell a boat privately here in GA….pay no sales tax. We bought the 420DA on a private sale in FL, registered in GA, paid no Ssles Tax. Use a broker or dealer, you will pay sales tax here.

I also looked into the 1000 hour service on the 6CTAs in 2020 when we purchased a 420DA. There is really no 1000hr service per sey....recommended is to pull the aftercoolers and HEs, have them cleaned, and pressure tested. Even on a FW boat. To me the biggest thing was the pressure test to...
There is a guy here on Lake Lanier that has/had a 480 MY. We looked at it 8 years or so ago. He had it taken apart, trucked it to Savanah and cruised the Bahamas and Keys. Took it apart again and brought it back here. If you want his name and number, I can see what I can do.

The year before we bought a 44DB, we looked at the 390/40 MYs hard. Knowing it would have to be broken down to transport OTR. I never got into it far enough to find out the breakdown/put back cost. With the 44DB and OTR transport, I happened to find an ex-MM Service Manager that went out on...
