2000 340 wet aft cabin rug

I had a similar problem with my 2005 340DA a long time ago. However, the mid cabin floor under the sink area and settee area was wet when it rained extensively too. Long story short, what I found was that the forward port rub rail was improperly drilled near the navigation light area. There...

    Air Conditioner BTU recommendations, please

Looking to see if anyone has any experience with the MABRU Power Systems AC Units. Couple of threads without any detail. Original on my 340DA was a CruiseAir 12k that lasted quite sometime with a compressor failure. Replaced it with another CruiseAir 12k that lasted for 14 months with a...

    TV/VCR combo slide mount

I mounted an ice maker on mine after removing the 17" TV. AC receptacle already there. Makes it easy to drain the residual water from the ice maker directly in the sink because of the swivel mount. I bought a 40lb/24hr one from Amazon. PM me for pictures.

    340 SUNDANCER THREAD

I often wondered why the mirror in the head/shower was on a pivot. Didn't make sense to me but must of been some thought to it from the designers. Anyone know why?

    C80 vs E80 replacement decision

During my last trip the display on my Raymarine C80 began to jitter and then ultimately blacked out. I assume this is due to the souther heat and age of +10 years old. None the less, it needs to be replaced. I prefer to replace it with the same model or the E80 since the Radar is a RD218...

    new 340 floor

This is exactly what I have been wanting to do with my '05 340. It looks great. Did you do the work on your own or did you have a contractor do it?. Any specifics regarding the rip out of carpet and installation of vinyl would be appreciated. You can send me details to my email address art...

Water Intrusion in foward cabin under floor storage area....

I have a 2005 340 DA. Love it by the way!! I had a similar but different problem(s). After heavy rains the carpet was wet on the deck near the sink/step to bed on the port side. I also had wet carpet in the salon area near the vacuum. Underdeck storage had water in it as well. I made sure...

Hardwood Flooring Project in a 410DA

So just in the interest of curiosity, did you consider the difference in the weight between the carpet and wood flooring and how that affects the planing/stability of the boat? I have a 340 DA and was thinking of putting wood flooring in the mid cabin salon but felt it would add weight to the...

What product do you recommend to flush the AC/Heating unit?

Dave, I have a 340 DA and was experiencing what I considered to be less than par performance with my AC unit this past summer. I clean my strainer regularly each month and flush the lines with fresh water (from the dock) for about 10 to 15 minutes. I keep my unit on 24/7/365. I was...

Aft or Fwd leaning radar mount

I appreciate the posts/comments and after several hours of sale site reviews and trips to various marinas I decided on a forward leaning mount. I would have to agree with GFC, and so did the mount manufacturer, that the line of mount should be consistent with the angle of the radar arch from an...

Aft or Fwd leaning radar mount

Understand the bow rise elevation principles at cruise or at rest position as this could be adjusted with shims or wedges to ensure that the plane of the radar is level with the horizon or water surface at cruise speed or slightly below. I am referring to the actual radar mount (physical...
