I found out what caused the problem. dpmulvey was correct. The house batteries were bone dry and checked out having bad cells. Of course the batteries were in the bottom of the bilge. The other two starting batteries were also low on water. dpmylvey, can you tell me what watering system you...
Thanks everyone, that's great stuff and wish I had that knowledge yesterday. I tried disconnecting the pin strategy but that did not work and probably could not lift the hatch by myself anyway.
Now that I can lift the hatch I need to figure out why the batteries are dead. Even on shore power...
This weekend everything went dead on the boat including the CO Detector. believe the two batteries in the bilge are the house and starting battery for the port motor. My question is with these two dead batteries how to you raise the bilge hatch to gain access to the batteries?
The starboard...
I disagree and believe still has great customer service. Last week I had problems with my fresh water system and sent a detailed email to customer service on the Sea Ray sebsite. The next day I got a detailed answer from customer service. The not only answered my questions but submited a...
I have the same problem with water lines. I contacted Searay directly and they quickly got back to me with the informtion I needed. My Sundancer is a 1995 33DA and was told Geneva Products supplied the grey lines in my boat. I talked with their customer service and they were very helpful in...
Problem solved. The wingnut that worked on the pump last installed 1/4 inch hose for the short run to the pump and was probably the same individual that used black pipe dope to seal the fittings. I will order 1/2 hose and new fittings to replace. Thanks for everyones response.
I have a 1995 Sea Ray Sundancer 33DA and changed the fresh water pump this past weekend. The old pump I thought died because it would not pump water, only air. After I put the new Shurflo pump on it was the same problem, pumping air and very little water. I then noticed the strainer body was...
This is Savannah, part Blue Healer and other part is unknown. We believe her daddy was a traveling man. She was abondoned as a puppy and was picked up at a friends car wash at the lake. Loves boating and is in training for rope monkey duties.
This is Berta, a Black Mouth Cur. She like to take the boat out with her buddy, Captain Pink. She is a southern dog known for hunting. She was abondoned and abused when we got her.k
I found them at Lowe's. 8 for $2.28. However they only come in white with screws included. You will have to buy the pop rivets. Look in the door and screen section of Lowe's, not hardware.
My 33 DA beeped every 2 minutes that drove me to drink, but that is a different story. It was my CO2 detector beeping. I replaced that but the beep continued. To find out if the batteries are not charged or going bad it triggers the CO2 detector beep. New batteries solved the problem.
