    Your token sailor... :)

I have sailed at least as much and probably more than this guy. I will admit power boat wakes are a pain and more than one pissed me off. My Dad was an avid boater. We had both Sail and power boats on Lake Erie. I have sailed from San Diego to Mexico and the Sea of Cortez and back. Most power...

So how did you become a boater?

Like a lot of you it started with my Dad. We lived in OH and he loved boats. When I was little we had a canoe he would not let me take it out on my own until i could capsize it, right it get back in and paddle to shore. Once I mastered that I was always out in it. Eventually we bought a 16 foot...

    Dog ladder

I Highly Recommend the Dog On Water Ramp. We have one and our two Labs love it. It works well! We tie it to the swim platform or the end of the dock. If one ever fell overboard we could get her back on. Here is a link to a you tube video that shows Zoey and Dakota using the ramp. Dakota - the...

    Trailered our boat to Mexico

I have been trailering boats to San Carlos since the 1970's. Never once have I felt scared or intimidated. Years ago the road was treacherous but has been greatly improved and widened to 4 lanes. It is currently being re-built and is very narrow in some parts. The Mexican people are wonderful...

    270-280 power options

I have a 94 270 with a 7.4 Bravo III. With two adults and two more 100 lbs dogs it planes easily, 25 mph at 3200 RPM burns about 12 gal per hr at that rpm. Were happy with it.

    Tasted the dark side

I like boats. I have had both power and sail. As a kid growing up in OH my dad always had a Sail Boat on Lake Erie and we had a ski boat. I once spent 2 years live aboard cruising in Mexico on a sail boat. I now have a 270 Sundancer I keep on Roosevelt lake in AZ. Our plan is to cruise it on the...

I is called the Dog-on water ramp. You can get them through Amazon, do a google search and it should show up. The Guy who invented and patented them lived in Tucson. I had the pleasure of picking mine up at his home. Had a fun conversation about dogs boats and life in general. We have a pool...

Roosevelt Lake AZ 4th of July

I was thinking of buying a Go Pro camera. I saw a little Vivitar camera with a waterproof box at Walmart for $29. Figured I can't go wrong and if I didn't use it I wasn't out much. Took it to the lake July 4th. Here is a link to a couple short video's I made. https://youtu.be/wKsDLON4zVg...
