If you don't like high gas prices......

I totally modified my original post because I didn't want to perpetuate my error. Thanks for pointing it out to me. My comment about assumptions was that it seems (to me) that you imply that 35 million bbls of oil is relative insignificant because it would only provide us (United States)...

If you don't like high gas prices......

I disagree...their goal is to crash the U.S. Economy, make our existing Constitution irrelevant and change our form of Government from a Republic to Global Socialist. Glen Beck is "spot on" on this.

If you don't like high gas prices......

Assuming you are correct, this assumes that this would be the SOLE SOURCE of all of our domestic oil production. Using that logic, it doesn't make sense for us to do any domestic production.

Honda Generator Group Buy - Questions

Re: Honda Generator Group Buy We did this exact scenario a few years ago and it has been a real convenience when we had weekly power outages, sometimes lasting 12 hours or more. If we didn't have it, I would jump on Jim's bandwagon!!

    Possible Relocation?

Your boat is identical to our last boat. I live in a small town that is about 60 miles SW of Washington, DC. We did our boating on the Potomac River in the Woodbridge area, there are several nice Marinas where you could keep your 310. You might "Google" Belmont Bay Marina, which is located in...

    Older boaters

Both the Admiral (of 44 years) and I are now 70. We started boating when we were 66 and really enjoy our time on the water. We are still pretty active, an hour on the treadmill and a 1.5 mile walk around the city park at least 5 days a week keeps us healthy. Luckily (knock on wood) both of us...

    C-MAP USB reader

I am boatless now, and have the Navionics Multi-Card Reader that I purchased and used on my Raymarine C80 system. I purchased it from Jim, the forum owner about 2 years ago. It was great for storing my routes and transferring them to the C80. As I no longer use it, you can have it for $35...

    Stupid is as stupid does

Wow...this brings up old memories. A couple of years ago when I had an Amberjack 290, I was at a different marina's gas dock and wanted to pump out the sanitary tank. After fueling was completed, I removed the sanitary tank's screw-in cap, got the attendant to go to the end of the dock to turn...

NORTHStar 100 vhf radio - FREE

22 April 2010 --- This radio is NO LONGER AVAILABLE I have a new, complete Northstar 100 VHF radio that I purchased on ebay a few years ago to get a replacement speaker for the broken mic connector that attaches via the speaker on my previous boat, a 2006 Amberjack 290. Note that this was also...

The two best days of owning a boat my A*S!!

Wow, I am seeing this more and more each month. It is with deep sorrow that we have had to join this group. Lack of work for the past 6 months and no prospects for the near future has forced us to give up our 2008 310 Dancer late last month. We will miss our time on the boat.

    Sundancer 2 step - 260 to 310; thoughts?

We bought the second Sea Ray Axius 310 that was sold in our area and once Mercruiser got all the updates in it, it ran and performed like a dream. They included the SKYHOOK which was also very nice. The first few months with Axius was dicey, but once all the updates went in, it was perfect. To...

Resale values - opinions from those in the business?

It is a little known fact that there were two gentlemen in the Pearl Harbor attack who were in the Japanese Zero, side number 457YKH12, that had the words "Ichi-Ban" painted on its side. The pilot was Helmut Gertzner and his gunner/torpedo officer was Franz Schmitt. Helmut and Franz survived...
