Since I'm here asking another question, I'll weigh in on this because I have had these same issues. Indeed, the capacitor will create the no ac without load problem you describe. I troubleshot that one for a while, but when I replaced the capacitors, I was back up and running. (unfortunately...
Asking this question for a friend of mine who just purchased a '98 370DA and wants to find the Owners Manual. Neither of us could find one listed on the Sea Ray site. Actually only really need a copy of the dimensions page (the one which shows the water lines, arch, antennas, etc) which is...
One thing to keep in mind is that smartcraft uses a fuel usage algorithm/RPM from the computer rather than a fuel flow sensor. Not saying that the PCMs could or should be outputting different values per RPM, but they may be. As said before, take careful fill and refill data and see if it you...
You may want to ask specifically if there is any plywood behind the drive backing plate. They should be able to say definitively. If they say no, then that would be much better news.
I don't know if you have to remove the elbows for access, but if you do and the gaskets are the graphite type, you will need to replace them, I am fairly certain.
I would reach out to Sea Ray (865-971-6250) and ask specifically about what if any coring is used in your hull. I would be surprised if there was wood coring in the structural transom, but often, there is a a plywood backer glassed in to the backside of the transom for equipment and swim...
Certainly check the grounds, but the gauges may be bad or going bad. Tachs are notorious for eventually jumping around when they age. Since you have twins, try swapping them to the other engine and see if that helps.
That's the fridge I used. Biggest one that I could find to fit space. Like Chris-380, I ran the wire down and across engine compartment firewall and up and around back to the panel in cabin. I upgraded the breaker to accommodate both refrigerators, like Sea Ray did when factory fridge was...
That's a good point. I suppose my Sea Rays were and are older and did not have an EIM. Might someone be able to refer to the wiring diagrams in the owners manual to track down the appropriate wire colors?
Not a problem! Take a look at the dash panel and make sure that you identify the trim tab control switch. Maybe take a photo of it too. The outdrive trim controls are probably on the throttle/drive shift control (thumb switch?), but also verify that.
Also, I just verified that there is only...
