That "mystery hose" is the outlet from the shower box bilge pump. It runs behind the frig to a thru- hull about mid ship on the port side. There will be a bit of water in it as it does run somewhat uphill.

The noise level is considerably less than the gas engines at cruise. Some of that is because of the cruise rpm. 2300 vs the 3400 with gas. I have a Kohler 8EODZ gen. If you would like to see my boat and I would take you for a ride let me know. We aren't that far away as my boat is in Baltimore.

In response to the post to remove the TV and replace with a door. Perhaps this is a better solution? it was a pretty easy install with NO cutting of the original opening.
Two things for you here.
1. Cummins 6CTA 430hp are available in the 410 Express. Most folks are probably thinking Sundancer. They are all cat power.
