Hi All, I sold our old Sea Ray, and am looking into getting back into a 220 or 230 Select. There is a nice 230 select near me, with ~200 hours - however from the photos, it looks like the outdrive has been replaced. I inquired with the owner, and he said that the entire unit was replaced...

I've not pressure tested the drive, but I am getting oil out of the weep hole just below the shift shaft on the starboard side of the outdrive when the boat sits.

I am pretty sure my shift shaft seal is leaking on my Alpha 1 Gen 2 lower unit. Can someone give me some tips on replacing the actual seal? I have the two halves of the outdrive separated (did the impeller a few days ago, but noticed the shift shaft has a little oil around it) I read...

I had a similar issue with a 5.0. Could your oil pressure switch be faulty and turning off the fuel pump? On some motors the pressure switch is directly wired to the fuel pump? This pressure switch is different than the pressure sender.
