It seems to be a tan color. Definitely not red like atf. Can I use an auto parts store power steering fluid? Or does it need to be marine grade?

We had it in the run position. Is it true that the merc 3.0L don’t come with a fuel/water separator filter?

I did check on either side of the motor if maybe I had bumped a connection of some sort or something got unplugged and nothing seemed out of place. When I get to the boat tonight, I will definitely try and disconnect the interrupt and see if that helps the situation.
