I need to replace my Tides dripless Shaft seal. Apparently "dripless" means "dripless most of the time". Does anyone know the P/N for the seal and the size of the drive shaft on our boats?

Have any of you guys mounted a flag on the transom door rail/handle? I'm trying to figure out a place to mount a new flagpole, and that would save me drilling into the boat. I've seen some flying from the fishing rod holders, but that would get in the way of my downriggers. Does a pole mounted to the transom rail impede opening? I'd imagine anyone sitting in the back of the boat there would have to watch their heads depending on length.

Anyone know a part number, or where to order the gas shocks for the cabinets on either side of the front berth?

I took these pics last summer but didn’t get around to buying new ones. Post a link if you find a good a replacement.

How many cabinet doors do you have. I have 5 and not sure how to mount a shock for the middle door. If you have three on one side with shocks please post a picture.

I don’t have a pic but I added a flag mount to the right of the transome door on the flat surface to the left of the cup holders. It works fine there. Only issue is wind coming up on the stern blows the flag in the back of the heads of the people sitting in the aft lounge. Doesn’t happen to often. It is annoying when. It does.

I will be down at the boat this weekend and can take a look and get some pics then if needed. I replaced my shocks a few years ago. I have one extra in the boat and it might still be in the package with the part numbers on the package. I will take a look and report back.

Thank you - also a picture of where the mountings are would be helpful since I do not have these installed already.

From these pictures the part looks like a 10" extended 7" compressed shock based on the part number. The sticker on the shock by the SL10- would indicate the output force. So if it is a SL10-10-1 then it would be 10 lbs of force. Since 10 lbs is the minimum force I don't think we would need much more to hold up that door. This should be enough to start the hunting.

I replaced mine(4) last year with JR Products GSNI-5000-20 Gas Spring bought from amazon (recommended from @saopm IIRC) whic has an Extended Length: 10"Compressed Length: 6.41"Force: 20 lbs. Equipped with EF-PS30 End Fittings.

Thanks! This is what I tried yesterday ...I'm not sure I like this. I can remove the flag pole from the rail mount by just pulling it out np, but not a big fan on how it drapes over the boat name when there's no wind. And I like the flag size. I'll probably bite the bullet and mount one similar to what you've done. Only problem with that is it will impede the canvas, but I can probably work around that.

I take the flag down and store it when I leave the boat and/or use the canvas in the back because the mount is under the canvas. A little bit of work from a canvas shop could make that right but I haven't bothered. Here are a few pics of the flag and closer one that has a better pic of the mount.

Yeah, that's sharp. You could probably get a longer pole for that base, and avoid the whole flapping into peoples' heads thing.

Anyway, quality problems.

P.S. Love the name ...very clever. I take it you flip houses for a living?

I though of longer but then it is in my line of sight when we are anchor. I feel like we would be looking around the flag all the time. The flag coming into the cockpit doesn’t happen that often so it isn’t too much of a nuisance.
I do flip houses. I actually bought a house from the name on the boat. I was in the boat and a guy walked by on the dock and saw the name and asked me about it. I ended up buying his parents house he had inherited.

Here are pics of mine. The shock I have is an Atwood SL 10-10-1.

Thanks... adding the mounts should be fun in the tight space. Also, do you have three doors on the starboard side? Wondering how to mount the middle door. I will down at the boat later today and I will investigate.

Ha! Fantastic!

And this weekend I ended up doing pretty much exactly what you did in regards to the flag. This is perfect. Thanks!

Microwave/Coffee Maker not working. Went to check on the boat today and found this not working - no lights/displays, etc. Turns out the marina had some sort of power surge a couple of weeks ago. I don't have any documentation on this unit and am headed by up tomorrow.
I assume there are only 2 GFCI's one in the cockpit and one in the head? Both working.
Looks like 2 screws from underneath release the unit? Or are there more?
I think this thing is an LG Model # LCRM1240ST and in looking at searspartdirect.com, they mention a fuse located on one of the circuit boards, so this might be a place to start.
Anyone ever have one of these repaired?
If not repairable, what did you use as a replacement?

Not this model but I have replaced fuses in other Microwaves. Its usually a pretty simple procedure. But it this case you need to remove the microwave which I have not done on this boat (yet).
