I can't wait for spring to break in Port Clinton.

Wow, that's an awesome video. Go too lake Erie web cam's they have web cam live from downtown pib, downtown Sandusky and Huron oh.

Levels at the western end of Lake Erie are receding as the wind begins to diminish. Hopefully those that have boats in the water already came through this ok. Some of the locals are saying they haven’t seen water levels like this in more than 40 years.

I saw a video yesterday from the operators of the Miller ferries. They were struggling yesterday and expected water levels to peak this morning around , 4:30 am. I was watching the Miller ferry pib dock web cam this am about 5 :30 am. The dock was awashed with 1 to 1 .5 white caps rolling down it. They expected winds to peak at 45 -55 mph. If the lime kiln docks became submerged, the two ferries would have to cast off too the Lee side of the island I suppose.

Yes, the Miller ferries rode out the storm last night and most of today “at sea” on the lee side of South Bass Island. There were reports that they would spend tonight (Sunday) in Toledo.

Hey man, what's the water level like so far. I heard they are high.
It was higher than I have ever seen this weekend. The marina's docks were all under water(except the floaters, obviously) and most of the marina and trailer park was under water. I'm glad that I was on the boat. I have enough rations and beverages to last at least a month, a generator and 400 gallons of fuel. Thankfully, I didn't need it. Surprisingly we never lost power, me and the only other people(2) that were on their boat this weekend!

It's all gone now. The land came back yesterday evening.

I took lots of crazy pictures, but I am not able to upload them anymore... There was a lot of stuff floating by, dock boxes, decks, grills, etc. I was stuck on the boat all day Saturday and most of Sunday. The wind was blowing me off of the dock, I was a good 4 feet away plus I was too high to even get down to the dock, which was under water!

I still have no regrets about putting in on April 2nd! Living on the boat full time is awesome! Best decision ever, even with the crappy Spring that we're having so far!

Is it snowing thier today? We are getting like 2 inches today in erie pa.
Yes. It has snowed here a few times since I've been in. No accumulation though.

The sun peeked out for a moment and it's in the high 30s now.

It's supposed to be in the 50s this weekend and dry. Hopefully it'll start to go up, at least gradually from there, and be warm for all of those that launch in May.

Heck, not this coming weekend but next weekend is my 1st planned trip to Put-In-Bay!

I'm planning a short cedar point / pib trip on beginning may 10 extending to the weekend.
