Lake Saint Clair Peeps

But I had to show the commitment level of this guy at MacRays

FB is small world... :)

About 10 years ago friends of mine from CP bought a boat that was being stored at BMH. It wasn´t THIS early, but it was very early in the season. BMH and MacRay had only a handful of boats in. Regardless, BMH charged them regular-season daily transient rates while they commissioned their new-to-them boat. They were also rude about it. We called MacRay and explained the situation. The Member Services Mgr at the time allowed them to borrow an empty well near us. They became part of the MacRay social circle. A decade later, they still have fond memories of MacRay and here I am writing about it. Suffice it to say, that BMH rule book doesn't surprise me at all.

Out of curiosity, I just clicked on the rules package for the Belle Maer Marina and read them all. All I can say is, "wow."
Again, I'm curious to hear which of those rules are unreasonable or preventative of some essential activity.

I was there at Belle Maer for 2 years.. There was not a rule I disagreed with... The emails of the new rules were always justified by the group or person that created the problem.. Belle Maer is grass, trees, parking at your slip, and a dock. You like that or not... If not, move on ... I wouldn't criticize the place at all.
Your boat floats go somewhere else and enjoy ....summers are too short

This is just my opinion that’s all. I have friends that love BMH and that’s cool. I see myself as a pretty easy going guy so it’s def not worth a pissing match to me about BMH vs MacRay. I just like to drink beer, boat and hang out with family and friends.
Once again just my strong opinion, happy boating!

I hear ya about the original electronics. Mine are as well. I'd like to get a new chart plotte
Midexp, I don't know if you saw this or not. At the top of this site click on BOE MARINE website. They have the Garmin 8012 on sale for 1399.00. That's a great price I believe.

Someone thinks there is a good reason to have so many rules or they would not have such a comprehensive set. As a person without a dog in this hunt, I was surprised by the number of issues covered. Seems like it could be stifling but that just me. For those who need complete order, perhaps this is they achieve it.

We are out of Island Cove marina in Harrison Township. Favorite spots are Goose Bay and occasionally the Moot if the right crowd is aboard. Out most weekends. We are on the channel between Anchor bay and the Clinton river so if you BM and MR folks are cruising your dinks to Bumpers for some drinks you are passing our transom.

Hello Chillshark, I'll keep an eye out for you in Goose. Picked up the canvas from Quality today. All cleaned and waterproofed, can't wait to install. C'mon weather cooperate with us, we got boat'in to do.........

This weather is not helping motivate me to take the shrink off except for the free rain wash ugh!

Great pic. I splashed yesterday. 28 degrees F this morning and high winds last night. Maybe I should have waited!

Thank you. Jeff Beach. We've been working on her for the last couple of months. When the docks open up in Caseville we will take her up there. We're newbies when it comes to a boat this size. We're excited to have her and get on the water!

Hi All,

I'm new to the SCS area and just purchased a 280DA that needs some work done on it. Do you guys have any recommendations for any local places? I'd be looking and getting some bottom paint and some mechanical items taken care of.

Welcome KF, this is an awesome site. A lot of old goats that have been there and done it.

I’m not too familiar with mechanics in the shores area. Are you at Jefferson Beach? I’ve heard they have a good service dept
