i am still working out the gremlins from my 52. The 50 amp power cord struggles to go back in. It will come out ok but it seems to be slipping going back in. If I push on the cord it will go back but it’s tough. I’ve been underneath to look at the components and is seems to be all there and motor is moving. Are there wear items on these and which part is it if there is. There are no binds or broken parts I can see. Any thought?

The rollers can be tightened. But... look at the rollers and make sure they are clean and then clean the power cord itself.

Mine struggles when it’s cold and stiff. It also once had trouble when the detailer used a waxy coating after cleaning. It was just too slippery.

The other easy thing to do is check is to extend the cord all the way out for the “unkink” procedure. This should be done once a month, according to the manual.

Glendinning has super customer service, call them if the easy fixes don’t help.

There are plastic washers/spacers that can be added or removed to adjust the tension on the cord. Not sure about yours but that part is in the aft trunk on mine.

I think Jeff's unkink suggestion will solve your problem. Cablemasters do a good job but they do require maintenance. Every loop of cable they lay in the Cablemaster tub will add one link to the cable. Get enough kinks in the power cord and the Cablemaster has to push the cord into the tub. They are designed to pull, not push, so when you get enough kinks, you get what you have.

Is there some secret to this procedure ? I ask because mine is in desperate need of "unkinking".

While on the subject, does anyone have a suggestion for best cleaning agent to clean the power cords with? I need to do a deep cleaning on mine as well as unkink.

Mineral Spirits works great and is inexpensive. Doesn't harm the plastic insulation and removes most marks.

I just used Marine strip. Cleaned well but now it’s too clean and won’t reel in!
Any suggestions?
