Hey.
I've looked around for a forum for the Sea Ray 360 Aft Cabin (or non-Sundancer 360, etc) and could not find one. So I started one here.

If there is a Forum already, if someone can point me to it, I'd appreciate it (and delete this one).

Thanks!

Dave,

We had the boat from 2001 to 2015. She had twin Crusader 350 HP (454) engines. Over 2000 hours on the engines which were in great shape. A pig on fuel. We mostly ran her as a trawler at 8 knots and occasionally at 20 knots.

Did many upgrades over the years but the biggest was adding a hardtop to the aft deck. The boat was great for raising a family as the two kids had the aft cabin to themselves.

Moved on to the 460 as the kids are now adults. The 460 provided diesels and a larger cockpit for socializing. We travel Lake Huron and I do not miss the ride from the flybridge on a rough day.

Thanks Jeff!
Good to hear about the two kids in the aft, as I am in the same position. As well, I am looking at adding a hardtop (I will be full time live-a-board); can I ask how much it cost to upgrade to that hardtop? I've been looking but can't seem to find any numbers on it...

Thanks again

The forums are as quiet and rare to find as my boat, but glad it's here.

-1984 360 AC, refit and repowered in 2010
-Onan 6.5Kw
-Electro Scan saltwater based vacuflush system modified for fresh water use
-Interior completely restained to a darker / non-80's hue
-Complete changeover to LED interior lighting
-Garmin GPSMAP 741xs plotter / dual channel sounder mounted externally on rear stbd side that works flawlessly (gasp!)

...I've re-worked every aspect myself except for a recent transmission rebuild (SWEET LORD, $$$) and would be more than happy to answer questions (hence the specs if anyone has the same or is thinking of such)

I'll monitor for the next several years as I know we 3460AC folks are on the endangered species list.

INCIDENTALLY, another 360 owner from Australia asked about replacement options for the exterior sliding salon door, and I had nothing to pass on. References? Ideas?

Also, mine lacks the factory locking mechanism. Nickel sized hole and no sign of previous hardware for it to latch through, just the .5" smoked Plexiglas under it. If no suggestions are in order, has anyone ever seen a picture of it so I can try to reverse engineer?

Glad to find you guys as well.. 1989 360 Aft Cabin here picked up about 2mos ago as we pulled it for the winter. Bought from a buddy and have used it so i know it well.

Do you have pictures of the interior and other cosmetic work you have done? I am trying to get ideas

Hello,
It is very quiet. I am redoing the interior of my 360 ac. It has diesels and interior helm as well. New electronics in order and I guessing I need to have double screens and radios.
Anyone elses ideas on the boat would be great.
I am in Jax.

Very quiet indeed. I think we are becoming a rare breed indeed. Twin diesels in yours, huh? that is awesome. Did you do that or purchase that way?

Hi
I bought that way and they were manufactured that way. Most unusually the boat had an extra water tank put in the bow and holds 200 gallons. In todays world I think a desalination unit would be better. The water would add a ton of weight.

Despite this thread being so silent there is another 360 ac docked close to me. Mercs in it though.

Easier to find someone to work on them but its all going outboard

I read this thread again and it is pretty dead. I have the same hole in the door and no lock. I would like a lock.
Does anyone know what it was?
I just had all the carpet inside replaced and put in new furniture. I will probably put on some new window tinting to keep the uv and heat out. The new ceramic tinting is pretty good.
I did something on facebook- Sea Ray 360 Aft Cabins
No one has joined yet.
