Been doing a bunch of electrical/electronics/appearance upgrades. Just did arch/cockpit lighting

+1 on this - It's basically an active charcoal filter and not much to it. I built a refillable one years ago for my 260DA.

While these are a maintenance item they will last longer if they don't get wet. So don't overfill the tank. We clean our tank with fresh water every time we pump out. Just make sure to not overfill if filling with hose water.

LOL. Was wondering if somebody was going to catch that. I own a Euro car shop, and we have a smoke tester/smoke generator to test for intake/turbo piping leaks, EVAP leaks and stuff like that. I'm still not completely familiar with the waste system on the boat, but know that it does tend to smell pretty bad each flush. I'm hearing there's a filter down there also. So, we'll see how it all goes.

Remember, just like on a car. Some things can leak under pressure, (IE smoke test) and not leak when a vacuum is pulled and vise versa when the source of the leak acts as a reed valve.

I'm just glad to see someone whose list is as long as mine...
I just went and looked at the Excel spreadsheet of projects for the winter 2017/18 - 37 items. Number accomplished since the boat got put away in October - 0. Splash is mid April...

And did the LED bulb conversion in the cluster. In this pic, dimmer is turned to full bright. Tachs are obviously LED, Sync gauge is actually lit, with the old 194 bulb.

These are the bulbs I used:

Most of the sockets were integral with the bulb, so I bought a bunch of replacement sockets

They work fine with the dimmer, and they do a fantastic job of lighting the entire gauge evenly due to the number and orientation of each individual LED in the bulb

I did my gauges based on the info your provided. I love them. I ended up going with green to match the boat.

Hi Bracket racer, did you finish the wine rack above fridge install as well do you have pics of TV after installation.

I just ordered the LED and Holder for the dash, I have been putting off tackling the area behind that TV as i dont want to do it twice thinking a slide out bottle holder with LED's then a hinge TV in front turning towards Port side.

Thanks Jamie

Actually, I never even started on that project. Maybe possibly in the next couple of months, but got a bunch of other priorities to knock off first.

What was the old Raymarine chartplotter in the center? C80? Which model did you find to fit in the existing cutout?

Bracketracer....thanks for sharing all of this. Very helpful. Question for you: The Raymarine Tri-Data gauge (Depth/Speed/Miles) didn't make it to your new configured dash. Were you able to bring the depth reading from the old Tri-Data (I'm guessing it is NMEA-0183) into your new MFD's?

Ok, after re-looking at your picture, I see a "picture" of the bottom, so now I'm thinking you replaced the transducer and just upgraded everything with respect to depth measurement? Do I have that correct?

It was a C80, but I did buy a new dash panel to keep things clean

Correct. New B60 transducer.

Silly question but saw you replaced your radii system. I have been looking for a clarion remote #M101RC. Is that what you took off and would you sell it. I cant find anywhere

I'd give it to you if I still had it. Sorry man

Thanks anyway. But on a side note after reading all your posts i just ordered the gauge bulbs and excited to do. Alreasy switched all my arch lights and floor lights to blue and think your dash looks awesome. Thanks for the posts. Made my order process easy

This will be placed on my "to do" list this year as well. Please post up what's behind the gauges on your 290 once you start the process. I would love to see what I'm getting into.

Little ducky. When the lights come in i will take pics of the install. Plan is to just take screws out of dash and lean forward to change bulbs i hope. No other access to behind that i know of
