After being on the market for a year, I was happy to unload it for 49k.

thank You for your input, what was your asking or listed price?

Started at 59k 10 months prior to the sale. Used Pop yachts with no luck in the fall of 2016. Sold it the summer of 17 with a different broker.

Vinyl floor looks very nice, can you provide a few more details please? Was that a pattern, did you work with a distributor?
Thank you
The vinyl was patterned by a local dealer for Infinity, he also cut and trimmed it with sunbrella and installed the color matched snaps. All included in the price

PM me if you want more details.

Has anyone replaced the plastic cockpit table with a teak table? I think a teak table would really dress up the boat.

I have been thinking about this as well, but wanted to get some time on the water this year to determine whether we use the table a lot or if it ends up stowed. I know most don't seem to use the "sunpad" feature in the rear bench seat much, but if we do, the table is in the way. I've seen a few pictures of tables that folks have bought and think that a combination of a teak table with teak inserts in the sink covers dresses the cockpit up nicely. Definitely on my "next year" list of priorities. If I was going that route, I'd also seriously be considering making the table wider, and likely a rectangular shape with a folding design, so that 4 people could have a meal as opposed to the current "frisbee" table that's there.

How about this.

I tried it with a Fusion BT100 but I cant seem to make it work correctly. I cant get enough volume and the radio still plays through the speakers while the Bluetooth is playing. Wonder if I am doing something wrong. I hooked up the red hot wires and the ground wire and plugged into the 2 RCA cables that were extra on the back of the radio. Any help would be appreciated.
Having the same problem!! I am getting frustrated trying to get bluetooth on the boat. The headunit is a clarion XMD-1 and it has the aux inputs on the back but it just plays over the radio!!

I purchased my '05 280DA new, it doesn't have those inline filters. I wonder why some do and some don't?

That inline fuel filter is needed when you have a lower pressure fuel boost pump installed near the fuel tank. Some have this, some don't.

From what I know, usually those boats that suffer symptoms of vapor lock have them. Mercruiser sells a kit that includes this inline fuel filter and the low pressure fuel pump to solve the problem.

I was one of those that suffered the problem with my twin 4.3MPI's in the summer. I installed the low pressure fuel pump (not mercruiser) and inline fuel filter and solved the problem.

The inline filter is needed since the low pressure pump is placed -before- the spin-on fuel filter. From the spin-on filter, the fuel goes to the high pressure pump in the cool fuel module and then up to your injectors.

I would like to have more information this too...please share! What kind of price are we looking at here? Less expensive than carpet?

I also saw in this thread recently someone using faux teak peel-and-stick sheets (https://www.ebay.com/itm/112453214133?ul_noapp=true). Seems inexpensive, I wonder how it feels underfoot?

Good ideas!

So I purchased new red and green 1156 style LED's for the navigation lights (https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...orward-firing-cluster-ba15s-retrofit-car/169/) . Using the stock Attwood fixtures on the '03. Well...they wouldn't work. It seems that when SeaRay wired them up, they switched the wires around. Works fine for an incandescent bulb, but these are polarity sensitive. Darn it.

I found a polarity-insensitive red one (1156-R3W-G) but no green. They contacted me and said they don't have green...

I removed the fixture but there is not enough loose wire exposed to cut and swap them (I could only pull the fixture up off the deck about 1"). Has anyone replaced their light fixtures with LED's, or have a way to get at these wires from the cabin someone? I assume the side or ceiling would have to be removed. No idea how.

Probably just go back to incandescent instead of fighting this battle...

Just over a $1K to pattern, cut and install. With plenty left over in case I wanted to do the swim platform

So you have clear lenses with red and green bulbs??? On my 05 280 I have red and green lenses per marinebeam instructions I purchased their warm white clear led bulbs and they work great. Note they recommend the warm white as cool white is too bright and you cant distinguish that hey're bow nav lights. They did recommend cool white for the all around./anchor light. Marinebeam is a little more expensive but well worth it they know boats.

That table is gorgeous, is that custom or were you able to be able to order it as is?
Purchased from Marine Teak. They are a supporter on the site. Model TC 7050. 27.5” size table. Couldn’t be happier with the choice. Nearly 2 years old and still looks new. Ask for Luke Smith. He was awesome.

Extremely helpful forum and because of it i'm looking at buying SR 280 SD (06 to 09 models) and looking at twins (Boston Harbor cruising). Few questions,
- What is the difference in performance/maintenance between Alpha's and Bravo's? Should i be looking for one vs the other? and what is the added price for the Bravo's?
- Excuse my ignorance as i tried to find more info, what what is Digital throttle? benefits?
- we dock in the mystic river and go out to the Boston harbor, should I invest in closed water cooling?
- Can anyone point me to a specific check list for buying a used 280 SD?

I will be going through locks a lot, every time we go out.

Really appreciate all the feedback.

B3 drives are counter rotating twin props. Alphas are single props. B3s have a big performance advantage plus no prop walk when backing up. DTS is electronic throttle control. No cables. The one thing I really disliked on my 280DA was the clunky throttle cables. I could not control with one hand and often overshot or undershot because the cables were sticky. I love the DTS on my 330DA. I can easily adjust the throttles with finger pressure. Makes docking much easier.

Thank you for you the info. DTS makes a lot of sense based on your description. I will be backing up to my slip so precision controls is needed!!!
Is DTS available on any of the 280 engine options?

Table looks awesome, thx for posting! The round Frisbee table is horrible; looks lousy and way too small. I'm going to 'cheat off your paper' and get the same Marine Teak table. Did you do anything to modify the table holder in the engine room to store it, or do you just keep the table up all the time?
