On my cockpit panel, there is a separate panel with the port and starboard engine trim switches. To the left of those switches is a third switch. Its part number/description is
BODY, ROCK SW DPST MOM (note - indicates a type of rocker switch)
(PART OF PANEL 845818)(TRAILER)

The owners manual does not refer to it specifically and I have not used it. No indicator light and when I press it nothing seems to happen. Can someone help me as to what it is for? I cannot describe the insignia on it - looks like something pivoting on a cam. Thank you.

In your information it looks like you have IO's and the switch your are explaining sounds like the switch used when trailering a boat for raising the drives up beyond the normal trim switch so the drives do not get damaged while tralering the boat.

Just a thought.

To take the cheap way out manufacturers use a single switch for trailer operation instead of a switch for each drive.

I think that is the answer. : ) Makes sense, and the part # has trailer in the description. In that case, I can continue to ignore it. I don't trailer it and the marina doesn't trim up the outdrives when hauling out. Thank you.
