Hello everyone! This forum has been a huge help the past few years in helping me handle all the little issues i have had with this boat. It has been a joy. This one has been by far the most fun to work with. It has so many features that you would not think could be on a trailerable boat that have maid it possible to spend a week on at a time for my family of four at multiple lakes.
My fresh water tank is located under the forward berth as well. I like the fact that it is located up front. It seems to help the launch a little when the tank is full. The bow seems to drop a little quicker, especially when i have group in the back.
By the way, does anyone know what the straps in the transom locker are called or where they can be bought? Mine are missing and it would be nice for hanging lines or the power cord.

What kind of problem are you having? Is the genny running hot? I don't believe the thermostat change will affect this. I checked back a few pages but did not see any discussion on the genny on your 260...
Good Day Fellow Boaters,
Just wanted to say Hello to you all and i am a proud new owner of a 2004 260 Sundancer any tips on what to check - replace before the season starts? i am picking her up this Saturday from Boston. Purchased it from New Wave Yachts
Thanks
Nick
Welcome aboard!Hi All
First post here but I’ve been following this Forum for just over a year. Lots of great info and most questions have been answered. I purchased an 06 260DA November 2016 and had a great first season with it last summer.
I recently purchased a cockpit cover to go along with the existing Camper Top.
I am looking for an idea on the dimensions for the placement of the Snaps from the Arch forward around the base of the windshield. Here is a pic of what I am looking for.
Thanks
That’s exactly what I was going to do. I was hoping someone would post a picture of their Cockpit cover installed so I could get a better idea of how it should fit. I don’t want to install more snaps than are necessary, so the spacing is important.Welcome aboard!
To answer your question... you're making this harder than it has to be. Install the snaps into the cover where you have existing snaps from the camper canvas. Then, stretch the cover forward nice and snug (you can use tape to help hold it in position) and install the snaps where you need to. Done. No measurements needed - they'll only make this job harder and take longer.
