faulty switch or EIM

my SB switch is completely dead, indicator lights flash when powered up and thats it
port switch allows trim tabs, lift down and blower to operate only
have 13v at EIM terminals and 13v at quick connect for switches. pulled the dead switch apart and i do receive 13v power and 4.33v on what im guessing is the trigger form the EIM nothing outgoing power wise when buttons are pressed. Any help would be appreciated. looked up some older post with similar issues and no clarity on what may be the problem
 
These are difficult to troubleshoot without spares to change out. There are four wires from the pads to the EIM... 12V, ground, and two for serial data communications.
 
Yeah I’ve given up, can’t find parts and after thought don’t want to use someone else’s parts with the fear of cooking theirs. Just going to rewire all new toggles

You migh want to change out the switch pads first before dumping everything. They are somewhat available and easy to test. I do not think that a bad EIM would blow the switch pad (correct me if I am wrong) and you can possibly borrow one for testing from another boat.

The biggest issue is finding pads, they are no longer reproduced. Also borrowing someone else’s pads to see them get fried because I have a shirt is not a conversation I really want to have.

You are correct... if other pad switches work, then the data communication part is OK.
