cockpit table

I love the new wooden tables.

The previous owner of my 290 bought a little round table and it works great compared to the big square one that is stored down under.

Here is a work in process. We bought the teak table from a CSR sponsor, Marine Teak. This winter decided to seal it with a non yellowing art grade epoxy... Will finish it off with a uv protecting ceramic hard coating.

You have to be careful what you use over the decal not sure if epoxy will effect the vinyl decal that's why I stuck with poly. Once you get a few coats of poly to protect it you can put any finish over that .

Seems like a lot of members are really good at this. Anybody interested in making a custom sized cockpit table for me?

I’m starting a new one, the round one above is great for cocktails but not for dinner plates. This is left over floor from my kitchen reno, Character grade hickory, I’m playing with stain colors but might go natural with the epoxy. It’s aboht 2’x4’

Be sure to use cross bracing under your hickory. My previous table starting warping after a couple of seasons... With similar design.

Definitely, I'm going to get a 2x4 piece of plywood or other project board as a base. A good coat of glue and screws from the underside should make it nice and rigid. It'll be a heavy table, but I have a feeling I'll keep it set up most of the time. I can also pull that big heavy fiberglass OEM one out of the bilge for good

Hi
We love the look of that table on your 420, would like to add one to our 410.
What size is the table in your picture?

Thanks!.... The link is the table we purchased but I don't remember the size. I can measure it next time I'm there.. I think its the middle size. In that position we can eat at it... We also turn it 90 deg to give more room

Blueone, what did you use for stain and clear coat? That really looks great. I am ordering a table from them this week and would love to know what you did. The size would be great too for reference. Thanks! Dan
