I apologize if this as been convered before, or it belongs in a different forum. I did a quick search and did not find what I was looking for.

That being said, I am being quoted about $3000 for sea dek and install in the cockpit and swim platform of my 2006 340.

Anyone else who has had it done willing to share their costs?

Thanks!

That sounds about right, the custom stuff is expensive. More and more we're seeing people try the knockoff ebay brand around here. I just ordered a 94"x 34" piece for $50 that I'm going to put on our platform. If it goes well I may do the cockpit

With the generic sheets you don't get the custom beveled edge, so you need to do a nice job cutting and then seal it up somehow. I figured for $50 it was worth a try, I was quote $400 for my 290 platform using Seadek

Welcome to CSR!

I'm considering the $50 sheet myself for the swim platform. I'm just curious as to how it's being glued down and how would it be removed if it started to look ugly.

I plan on installing myself and am working directly with SeaDek sales, If I recall correctly the quote for my 2004 280 was in the $1,200 range. They already had a template of my cockpit and platform on file and I simply confirmed measurements of my boat based on the drawings they sent me.

I was quoted around $2600 for platform and cockpit (not installed) on my 310. I ended up getting just the platform and helm pad done for somewhere around $1000. Its nice but I think there are cheaper options that are just as good as Seadek. I wish I would have looked into Marinemat and others.

This is the Ebay stuff. Peel & stick 3M adhesive and then for insurance I sealed the outside edge with black 4200.

2 layers.... bottom layer black and then brown stripes on top. All seams are hidden in the black spaces.

Tools of the trade... The 2 wood pieces in the middle are tracing blocks to follow the outline of the swim step. Lots of fresh blades & tape for the 4200 seam.

I received a quote of $1495 last Sept to do the cockpit and swim platform. That is just for the material; self install. I’m still on the fence.

Mind me asking who gave you that quote? I would self install for that.

Thank you everyone else for the replies!

Quote came from Aqua Marine Deck. They said they have the templates too. I believe Fiberglass Florida also provides Seadek. I never delt with them but it may be worth getting a second quote.

I used Marine Mat on my 320. Cockpit and swim platform. Looks great, is not hot in the sun, easy cleanup with soap and water. Total price installed $1320.

Can someone remind me what the ebay product was called? I like the look of "The Bill Collectors" platform.
Thanks

Mine was double that for a 400. But paying a professional to template and install was well worth it in the end. I could have never gotten the clean and perfect results that he did.

The rear swim deck, step through pad, and nose step through was under $500.
04 270 Sundeck.
