Updated a little with a couple e series - you can wedge a 120 in the lower helm

Looking good Russ,
I just noticed that your hatch in hardtop is much further forward than in my year. Mine is right above the base of the steering wheel. Your overhead box wouldn't work for me. Unless it's an optical illusion or I need stronger glasses. LOL

The OEM ones are made by DeAngelo, my STBD one is off now and being sent back for pressure test and new insulation. Port one was done two years ago. Let me know if you need any more pics. Model # is 14924 I believe.
Thanks y'all, very helpful

Hey Russ,

Would you be able to do some measurements on the position of your overhead box? I have one of them to install into our boat, but havent gotten around to doing it. thinking maybe a quick project to get it done..

thanks in advance,
Don

Your hatch is above your head?? I have a big access cover to the bottom of the radar array above mine

Sure Don, you want me to measure the placement of the overhead box on the ceiling, correct?

Russ, No, My hatch isn't above my head. It's above the base of the steering wheel. It looks like your is further forward in your pic. But probably an optical illusion. No big deal, I'm not installing an overhead box

I noticed at the beginning of this thread Four Suns posted a series of links to different items/mods on the 480DBs but none of the links work anymore. Looks like he covered some good topics. Anybody know what happened to all the info and whether there is a way to get it back?

The links are from when it was on the old site format. I think there still is a way to get to the articles. Search on Google and include the club searay and you probably can still find them that way.

Cherman, it looks like you have the flat across hardtop rather than the rounded ones on our boats. Ours are a bit different than yours on the inside as well.

Hubs and I just put an offer on a 2004 Sedan bridge 480 - so excited!!! most of the boats of this model state theres accomodations for 8 to sleep. I'm just wondering if anyone knows if the settee or the dinette pull out to sleep 2 more? We are former Carver owners and NOT very familiar with the SR but find they will fit our family very well.

The salon couch is electric and becomes a bed and congrats!

one other question. I've tried and tried and it appears that the ottomans are hollow (could be good storage) however, I don't see that they open!!?? Any clues?

Our switch for the couch is also to the left of the cockpit door wall when entering the salon. Great for making into a big bed to watch movies when the weather turns.

RE: Ottomans. This was discussed before and we found that they were not the same across all years. The ones in my '03 do not open although they look like they should. I think they did in previous years.

Couch control - just inside the door to the right of the light switches, there is also a breaker on the DC panel that must be turned on first.
