Did you guys notice the propeller strikes on the aft, port corner? Wow!

What I find fascinating is how "I could not see over the bow" seemed like an excuse. Rule-5 anybody? Clearly going 'too fast for the conditions'(Rule 6)and without a proper 'lookout', he hits a vessel 'engaged in fishing', from the stern (which makes him the overtaking vessel and subject to Rule 13). A vessel you are "overtaking" has the highest place on the "Stand-on" vessel food chain, and a "Power Boat" has the lowest. Sailboats and Powerboats must both stay clear of commercial fishing vessels with gear in the water. It is good Nautical courtesy to stay away from all fishing boats, and keep clear of sailboat races. We are responsible for not only our wakes, but also if we run over someone elses boat. OMG!

That was amazing! Must have been a stainless steel prop. I don't think an aluminum would have left so many gashes in a row. The blades would have shattered after a few hits.

Could be Nibral props on that boat.

I saw one that got hit by a drunk speeding in a no wake zone last year.

Nobody was hurt, but the boat (also aluminum) looked like a shark ate it. The prop slashes were all over the thing.
