I then removed those cushion screws and will only install 4 of them for easier access next time.

I've got my couch out of mine now, as well the rest of the interior needed to remove the salon floor. I think I took some photos on getting the couch out if you need them. The couch came out fairly easy, the screws in the L brackets in (remove the drawer at the bottom to get to them), unhook rope lighting, seems like there were some bolts in the corner section under the cushion, but I can't remember if they hook to the lay down part of the sofa. Unhook the power to the actuator when you slide the couch out a little.

Any chance someone w/ QSM11s would post some pics of the exhaust system on the STBD from the Turbo back? specifically the riser. I think PO made some changes and it may not have sufficient elevation the way it was installed. PORT pics would be great also. I'm going through these from the exhaust manifolds back (Exhaust manifolds, After coolers, cross over, Heat exchangers, Turbos....) if anyone needs pics of anything or otherwise.

This is the Port on the 06 52DB. Quite possibly the same; at least the hot section...

The OEM ones are made by DeAngelo, my STBD one is off now and being sent back for pressure test and new insulation. Port one was done two years ago. Let me know if you need any more pics. Model # is 14924 I believe.

FYI - to remove the couch from an '03, there are four L-brackets holding it to the floor. Removing the drawer gives you access to two of them. The other two are on the outboard side of the same partition, the left side is pretty easy to reach but you need to work blindly while reaching between the cushions for the right side. Putting the couch on about a 45 degree angle helps with access.

The rope lights will need to be unclipped also.

Anyone ever add an overhead electronics box? I would be interested in whom would be a good company to work with in this. Thanks

I will post if I go forward with this project. I really just dont like the two-tier setup of the helm. Not the best use of space for electronics. I may do a low profile up top to add secondary VHF and additional storage.

Greg made a detailed post of his project - as Russ said - it turned out beautiful. I ahven't seen him on the Forum lately, you might search for his posting or PM him...

The thought never crossed my mind with already having a bridge fridge. Also, wouldn't want to lose the storage space under the steps but that's just me.

I would be worried it could block access to the breaker panel. Meaning you would have to remove the fridge to open the panel. But a single drawer model might be low enough. The frame cutout for the fridge can be beefed up to add support to the stairs if needed. Like QT said, That's a lot of lost storage.

fridge under stairs does sound great. My areas that would need to be addressed prior is: 1) electrical breaker panel. 2) fuel switches and shut-offs. 3) strength and integrity of the stairs. I think the stairs would be ok, but I would need solutions for numbers 1&2.

Agree with all above concerns. I will be going out to the boat this weekend to see if it would fit and still allow for access to breakers and fuel manifold. Just need more refrigerator space and thought it would be nice to have in cockpit without the need to go up to the helm or into the galley.

dstick, If you still have the original fridges in the salon IE: Marvel or Sub Zero, you could upgrade to the drawer style like Vitrifridgo .
I replaced mine with the 2 drawer fridge on one side and the split fridge/freezer on the other. It gave us a lot more space for refrigerated items and still had a drawer for ice and other frozens. Not a hard upgrade but is a bit pricey. Search this thread for vitrifridgo and there is a discussion about installing them with a lot of pics. That's where I got the idea.

I did take measurements this weekend and it won't fit without taking up all the internal area under the stairs. Will be too tight with fuel manifolds and breakers. I like the idea of doing the fridge and freezer upgrade... thanks, Cherman. Good suggestion.
