Thinking about a different brand

ok. I'll bite. What the hell was that all about?

Has white smoke for those that were asking about it.
Nice looking area and calm water.

Nothing to "bite" on. Considering something other than a Sea Ray which is hard as I've owned Sea Rays for 20+ years. Shot this video during the sea trial and thought I'd post it in the pic/vid thread since we all like pics/vids.

That's about it...

Was interesting watching the surveyor down there between a couple of big blocks listening to them and the transmissions with a stethoscope....I'm guessing that's why he's a bit hard of hearing after doing this for 30 years.

heh yeah, surveyors are magical creatures. My last one was able to contort in ways that would have made a circus-performer blush.

Ya...it's a CY 3870 and I was rather surprised with a 13' 6" beam at the lack of openness in the engine compartment. Seemed much more cramped than my DA 370 compartment.

Guy was a fairly big guy too, but somehow was able to work himself into spaces I wouldn't consider. Say's he learned the hard way to keep his phone on him while doing that, apparently got stuck once.

Welp....it's official as of today. Feels a lot bigger than my previous 370 DA, but those 425hp Crusaders fortunately are torque monsters. Love the 13' 6" beam and cabin layout, and having a big fridge and a patio for a swim deck is going to work well. Hearts always been with Sea Ray, but this just "fit".

Congrats! Nice boat, and you're going to love that cockpit, imo it entertains better than any other express in that size range. Enjoy.

Thank you. At first I wasn't too sure on the whole two elevation aspect, but between the sheer size and the companion lounge, I think you're going to be right. Definitely loads of room for family and friends. Wife loves the lounge and space, so if she's happy - that makes everything much smoother. The only drawback on this boat, to me, is the engine room. For such a wide beam, it's awfully cramped. Daily checks won't be an issue, but anything beyond that looks like a real PITA. I'm hoping the care of the Imron paint will be as painless as everything I've read - pictures don't do it justice.

Well, she looks enough like a SR that we'll forgive you for going to the Dark Side.

Just kidding. Nice looking boat.
