I'm floored by what is happening in our country. This whole "Me Too" thing started a few years ago with Tiger Woods when it surfaced that he had been stepping outside his marriage and had been sleeping with other women. It seemed to slow down for awhile but now things have really ramped up with the reports of sexual harassment that has taken place between men in positions of power and women who work for them or with them.

Some very famous names have come to the surface: Bill O'Reilly, Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, Matt Lauer, Kevin Spacey, Ben Affleck, Representative John Conyers, Russell Simmons, and the list goes on and on.

Is this all part of Make America Great Again? Is this cleansing of Hollywood, the hallowed halls of Congress, sports courts and television part of a cleansing that needs to be done to turn our country around?

Would this all have happened if we were not trying to drain the swamp?

Your thoughts?

The problem you have when draining a swamp is that you impact all the creatures therein, not just the alligators. While it may be a good thing to do, my fear is there will be a lot of collateral damage. While there are lots of accusations, allegations and innuendos flying around, very little evidence has been presented.

I'm certain many of them are true and for those cases there should be serious and career ending consequences. That said, my spidey senses start tingling when I hear phrases like "several anonymous accusers", "inappropriate behavior", "I felt uncomfortable", etc.

Hmmm. Well I never thought of it that way, you could be correct. I do agree there are a lot of harassment charges coming forward in a short time frame. I think it might be more social media, media, and the effect the allegations coupled with preliminary evidence provided, are having in displacing those they are against.

Instead of the snakes, I fear the Demogorgan might be moving into the swamp. (Stranger Things reference, my kids got me watching it, sorry!!)

My concern with all of the sexual assault allegations is just that, they are allegations. I'm not making excuses for any of these slimeballs, I'm concerned the revelations will lead to a McCarthy like atmosphere where accusations will be made, no evidence will be produced, and the accused will be presumed guilty.

I did myself the biggest favor by cutting off my cable TV. I bought a Firestick and installed Kodi, now I watch what I want, when I want. And the best? Not one dime of my money goes to the sleazeball main stream media any longer, nor do I have to watch their biased and sensationalized programs they masquerade as "news". If I want real news I have a slew of websites that aren't controlled by the progressive agenda.

Once you turn off the garbage and see what's really going on, what the MSM doesn't want you to see, it's an eye opener. And it's not as bad as they (progressives) are trying to make everyone believe.

This all started with our 42nd President, Bill Clinton, back in 1998 and has been brewing since. Broaddrick, Flowers and Shelton all claimed they were sexually harassed by Clinton. Powerful men abusing their power yet again. Seems like a common thread throughout history.

It's been a long time coming and now that the climate is right for these accusers to come forward with their stories we're seeing the powerful fall from grace. Social media is viewed by corporate America as the pulse of the nation. It doesn't take long for the SJW's to get the word out and it spreads like wild fire. All it takes is some bad publicity for a company to lose millions in advertiser revenue and they know it all to well.

NBC knew for years that Matt was an HR nightmare, yet they did nothing about it because of his ratings and the advertising revenue they'd lose. Once Matt's secret was revealed they had no other option but to let him go or face the social media firestorm.

Matt came clean and apologized yesterday for his actions.

I somewhat agree other than the fact that most of these people who are accused either have admitted it, had a 'photo' or 'recordings' as evidence, and haven't flat out denied it. When a Senator comes out this week and says "There may be more", that's a problem.

Also, listening to my favorite talk show host, 'Denali', he called out Congress a month ago. He asked why, all of a sudden, does Congress need sexual misconduct training - what's going on - is is systemic?......well, here we are.

Yup, just point a finger and all hell can come down upon someone....makes me think of heretics, witches, gypsies, and Jews.

I thought we were not allowed to talk politics on this sight. But as far as the irrelevant interest of the press is concerned, I used to respect the BBC but they have their own agenda lately and I think it's " hey, it's a slow day, not much happening, let's just speculate about what could possibly happen and blow it up like it's real news. Find all the dirt we can dig up. They are a bunch of shite stirrers if you ask me. Years ago A journalist wrote a book entitled "Nothing could be finer than a crisis that is minor in the morning" think his name was Osborne. He nailed it in one but now they all editorialize and speculate and repeat allegations as if they are proven facts. Irritating as heck. Let's make America kind again! Please God....

As long as the sleaze ball and chief is in Washington, this country is going down hill.
Downhill? Hardly. The Dow is up about 27% from January 20 when
PRESIDENT Trump took office, unemployment is down and it appears that Trump's tax package is about to be passed.

Maybe it's time you snowflakes started looking for the truth instead of just swallowing the crap the mainstream media feeds you.

The Dow is up due to speculation that regulations and tax laws will be enacted to favor businesses, the Dow has been on a steady climb since 2009, BTW. President's policy has very little effect on it as the Fiscal year for the US just started in OCT 2017.
I know I am benefiting from the rise of the Dow!
Calling people "snowflakes" seems to be a fall back position for any one who has a different opinion from that of a Conservative. It really serves no purpose other than to damage the credibility of the person using it. Citing facts is usually a better argument.
The country going "downhill" is just one persons opinion, but we definitely are more divided than ever. As evidenced by the passionate opinions expressed here and on other Social Media sites.
