Saturday I went out and visited my 340 for the last time this year. She was pulled and put into storage two weeks ago. Unfortunately the last day I had on her before getting pulled was absolutely miserable weatherwise. Driving mist and rain, windy, cold. Pretty fitting for the summer we had!

I likely won't see her again until February/March for a bucket wash and wax.

Another season in the books...

This was the first year for a slipped boat i'm use to having my boat at home so i can tinker with it all winter .This year it is under wrap on its trailer at the marina 2 hours away.It would have been nice to have dragged it home but I could not justify it even though the neighbor would have flipped considering he had a problem with my 230 at home maybe next year.

I was just thinking about that today. Our marina is two miles from my front door and we store it on the hard in their yard. I think I'd be lost if it was far away, I find myself stopping down there every other day just to drive by. Especially today as the Lake Ontario buoy measured 70mph winds and the forecast was for 14-17' with occasional 27' on Lake Ontario. It was good to see our winter cover in one piece still

Now is the time to start the "Off season" things to do list. My boat was pulled last Tuesday, tomorrow we winterize her. Full canvas is on. 5 miles from the house, and yes, I visit her often!
