Official 330 Sundancer Thread

I have a 1992 33' Sea Ray Sundancer with Twin 5.7 Blue Water Mercruisers with 1:50 Borg Warner V-Drives. My Question is what would be the Best Prop Diam. & Pitch for this Boat? I've read the Boat came with 17 x 16c & I've also read that with these 5.7 it also came with 16 x 15? Thanks ahead of time for any Help!!!

oil filters - 7.4 mercs. I see a ton of cross reference numbers for the original mercruiser 14957. I use k&n on my cars , would I be well served to use the k&n HP-3002? is there something special about the mercruiser filters for that are better for marine applications? anti-drain valves etc etc?
thanks

I’m just using the ac delco pf454
Just don’t think the kn is worth it for an annual throw away item, just dont buy fram, they suck.

yeah I heard fram was junk. saw some that were cut open in trials and the elements were all collapsed.
as far as the hurth trans filters go for the 1996 , does this look like what the units have? my trans model# plates are almost unreadable.

Any interest in a 1995 Sundacer 330 swimplatform? I have one I pulled from my boat. Platform is in great shape. I put on a new swimplatform.com model. Boat was at Lake Cumberland Ky. So it's spent it's whole life covered up in a covered slip. I currently have it at home in a shipping container. I live in north central Indiana. If you have a damaged one this would make a nice replacement. I'm just testing the waters to see if any interest.
Hi Ron,
What are you thinking in price ? Mine has a few cracks from previous owner. Always have thought of replacing it. Really like the swimplatform.com, but my boat already sticks out a little far at my marina. Let me know.
I could pick up probably if needed. I am in south MI

Yes and that is where I picked up some spares for min. They are local to me. I did just clean the others though and they were fine to put back in. Something to think about.

Dave I just seen this. Not sure if this is recent. I actually hauled it to the dump. I had no real interest so I got rid of it. We love our new platform. Well worth the money.

Would anyone be willing to let me borrow their vent covers for a few weeks so I can get my fiberglass guy to make molds?? Both of mine broke and I no longer have them and need to get them replaced. I would be willing to throw some money your way for your troubles and also pay for shipping, etc.

propeller question - 95 dancer
so I was inspecting the running gear yesterday and noticed a slight nick in one of the stbd blades. I haven't noticed any particular issues when running , but some of the edges are a little ragged. can somebody tell me what specs are the stock 3 blades? and if I decide to change them , the best choice for twin 454 v drives? I cruise at 22kt about 3300-3400 rpm. should I just have them serviced? or is it worth the money vs any fuel savings to possibly upgrade to 4 blade. also which upgraded props would I look for.
thanks

I can’t answer your prop question but I have same motors and drives and I’m running that speed at 3000 rpm

I would love to see some people share some pics on how and where they have mounted led Ty's in the cabin on my generation boat 91-93. Now that we are staying longer weekends, the kiddos would like a little tv time.

Hi Folks, no activity on this site for a while........., it's a balmy 45 here today so naturally I'm thinking of the boat!

I just bought it in October and had it in the water for 2 weeks to sea trial it. Carbs need a good cleaning and the starboard wires are arcing like crazy, so it's time for a tune up

I came across this kit. My first question is, do all carbed 454's have thunderbolt ignition?
Anyone us this company before? It seems like a good deal.
I'm not sure to go with the coil or nor ($50 extra)

Thanks in advance

Yes they all have the thunderbolt ignition. I highly recommend going with changing that coil. That coil when it fails is intermittent and acts like several other issues. I've chased those Gremlins. It's worth changing.
