Boat Info
1982 searay 360 vanguard
Engines
350 crusaders
Im thinking about buying an 82' vanguard. It has twin crusder engines and was well taken care of. Can anyone give me any info regarding this model of boat? Also, are crusader's good engines? They seem to run well.

Thanks.

I have the 310 model with two 454 Crusaders ( Model 350). They are solid in my experiences. They will guzzle some fuel if your running them wide open so be aware of that. But if your just cruising they are all you need. Id love to have the 360 for the added space. I assume you are getting a good deal?

Well I decided to not buy it. He wanted 26,500 for it. I offered 20k and he refused. So, I went with a 1987 340 sundancer with crusaders instead. Got the boat from Michigan, had it surveyed and shipped to Texas for 20k. The styling of the 360 was a little out-dated for my tastes, it was 100% original down to the tiny 4" tv's in the salon and forward berth. Which was cool, but not for 26k lol.

There is no market for a 26k 360. I'm sure if he wants to sell the boat it will be getting reduced drastically.
I also picked upmy boat of from Michigan and had it shipped to Phoenix for about the same. The place is a Gold mine for well kept 80's Rays due to the short boating season. Would love to see a picture of yours!

It's getting delivered Friday I'll post plenty of pics. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated!

Bought your boat for $21k in Fort Worth last August. In good condition and would do it over. The hull number indicates it is a solid hull - not cored. Will last a long time with TLC.
