We just picked up our first boat last weekend. After thinking about getting one for a few years, finally pulled the trigger. Just a little guy, but good enough for us to start learning the ins and outs of boating, and decide what we ultimately want out of it. Based in Medford, NJ, so decent access to drive her around to a variety of places.

For sure, hoping to get at least two summers out of this before we upgrade, but knowing me, probably won't happen.

Congrats on the first boat. Remember, it ain't the size of the boat that's important it's the amount of fun you have on the boat. Welcome to your new lifestyle and welcome to CSR.

Just curious, how did you learn about CSR?

Google, I've been a member of automotive forums for basically every vehicle I ever owned, so figured I should find a boat one too. Been lurking a bit, this one seemed to have a good combination of knowledgeable people who aren't also jerks, so here I am :)

Welcome ... You should enjoy the boat, it's a great platform to learn with and and figure out the tings that you like (and don't like) about boating.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome! You're going to love that boat. I just sold my '04 180. Owned it since brand new and it never let me down. Simple and easy to learn.

Have fun!

Congratulations! We have the Maxum version of that boat that my teenage kids use and they love it. It's a great first boat that is easy to learn on and relatively inexpensive to operate. Take some time with it to see how you use it before considering any upgrades.
If, and when, you ever feel the need to upgrade you'll get great input here for things to consider in your next boat.
BTW: As a fellow car enthusiast I've been on those forums for years too and I can say that this forum is an excellent resource for information, guidance, and advice for anything having to do with Sea Rays.

It all starts with an 18 footer. Who knows where it goes from there.

Welcome Sean, I'm really close to you in Tabernacle NJ. Been boating on the Mullica River, Great Bay, LBI, Tuckerton area over 30 years. Presently (4 years now), (previously at Sweetwater Casino 14 yrs. ) docked at Viking Marina on Rt 9 in New Gretna . I'd be glad to share any tips or knowledge I have of the area.. I too started out with an 18' Wellcraft bowrider and went up from there. I'm sure you're gonna love it. PM me if you like and I can shoot you my cell #. Be glad to help. Good luck with it, take care !

Thanks Man! We're mostly planning to be in the Delaware for now, but I think I'm going to check out sweetwater and take it out toward the bay later this summer. Mostly going in and out at Curtin's in Burlington for now. I'll probably reach out to you later to get some details on that area later, I appreciate it.
