Hole in the Water Club

No. You wanted a hobby.
What you need is professional help! :smt101

So the boat I originally posted about on here (the '69 SRV185) is almost ready - needs the engine and outdrive installed, and a bit more done on the interior. It has all new transom, stringers, floor, wiring, etc...

I had so much fun doing it that I got a 1974 SRV240 Weekender last month for my next project. Completely rotten, to the point of having a mushroom growing inside the boat, out of the transom. It's going get completely gutted, and the plan is to essentially build an all new boat inside the original hull. This one is going to take more time than just one winter!

I for sure belong in this club! I'm on my third Sea Ray with my most recent purchase of a 1995 400 Express Cruiser that I bought just last month.

So far I've replaced the air horns, top & bottom dash panels with some new Simrad electronics, PA horn, our boats name, lots of canvas repair, and most of the 12V lighting with LED bulbs.

Wish I could find a OEM swim boarding ladder!

I bought a nice hole in the water, 1986 Seville II cuddy cabin 5.6. First boat, first project and will be working with my kids (8 and 13) to get her going again. Electrical is seemingly "random", dings and chips in the hull, engine reported to have run last season, interior is something of a sow's ear, so I guess we'll see what we can do. I figure the repair cost will be 1/3 bourbon, lol.

Figured I should post here, I have always had an old Sea Ray. Sold my 1986 340 for a much newer 1988 460!
I couldn't be happier with this boat!
I hope everyone is fairing well!

Well, you should be checking into SRBCNC.org if you are in Antioch! I live in Pittsburg and we are a group of Sea Ray owners that love to cruise out and have fun!

Sounds great! My wife, and I belong to the Bridge Marine Yacht Club in Antioch. Nan (my wife) is the Fleet Captain, and I'm the Master At Arms. My wife, and I would like to attend one of your cruise outs to test the waters, maybe in July we can get together?

No problem, I will email you my information. You should consider our Circle Cruise on Labor Day weekend. I am also. Member of Pittsburg Yacht Club and I believe they are cruising in to Bridge this weekend! I am nursing a cold so I am not attending but maybe I’ll drive over later today.

Pittsburg Yacht Club cruised in last weekend for our crab feed, they had a great turnout!!
Our yacht club has a ten day down bay cruise out during Labor Day weekend, so we'll have to make it another time.

Okay, I was sick so could not make it with Pittsburg YC. Maybe 4th of July? We will be near Mandeville to watch the fireworks.

4th of July sounds great! Can I bring another Sea Ray owner? He has a 35' SR Sedan Bridge.
