If you're like me, this memorial weekend was the first time sleeping and using the boat. So my problems were 4 of the 5 batteries tested out poor with my battery tester. On start up at the dock, no problem, out on the hook, I had to use the emergency start. I have a Schumacher battery tester and 4 bad batteries.
When I put the boat in the water and brought up the systems, the water was perfect. This weekend, the pressure pump just runs all the time and doesn't sound like it's building pressure. I'll have to figure that out this Friday when I have some just me time at the boat.
I had my electronics guy put a Garmin autopilot in over the winter. When I got out on the water the GPS was backward. It knew where it was on the map, but the icon was off 180 degrees. I have yet to run the on the water setup while running, and he tells me that will solve that. Another job for Friday just me time. I needed smooth water to run the setup, and the water was anything but smooth this weekend.
Oh and she says she wants the TV's to work like at home.
I have a Tracvision antenna but I don't want to spend that much money for a few hours of tv, so my electronics guy said an HD antenna on the arch should do it.

HWH not reaching temp. SHower starts warm and cools off. Brrrrrr!

A friend's converter was dead in his 410DA. So we picked one up and installed it.

ALWAYS something.

Head holding tank has a slow leak. Just enough to make the bilge smell and head unusable. Broken part on Dinghy motor , can't raise the engine out of the water when mounted to the transom. Hot water takes a long tome to come to the faucet. Windless foot pedal operates sporadically. And my friends kids broke the oar lock on the dink. Typical weekend!

Hot Water Heater sends lil amount of Hot water then all cold.. Heating element ordered. Bilge pump spits water into bilge.. Grrrr. Water drip from bow hatch.. Really? Raymarine won't power up...

Bowl seal in the fwd head is going bad. Faucet in the same head now drips. Shore water inlet/regulator fell to pieces on Friday.

I bought a new VHF last winter and didn't hook it up all season. Got it going last week. (win) I was eager to make my first DSC call, but it turns out I'm one of the first, not one of the last people in my circle to get an MMSI. (not a win) At least I have the peace of mind of using it for emergencies.

Went for a run and found about 1/2 gallon of water in the forward bilge. That irks me because my bilge is usually bone dry.....hopefully it was just hiding somewhere from last season.

Oh and realized that I pointed the windlass foot switch arrow in the wrong direction when I replaced the covers.

Water pump for cockpit A/C unit (just replaced in February) was a bad unit, never worked. Found out as we hit high 80's this weekend.

I'm almost afraid to say it..........all went well............shhhhh......

Cooler was empty...

Always seems to amaze me how you can put them away perfect and in the spring well.....

Labor of love
It's the gremlins that live in the boat yard over the winter. I can't find a Bluetooth speaker that was on the boat for the life of me. I know it was on the boat last year, but gone now. I can't imagine that some one stole it, and let the pricy stuff.

I think I got lucky this year.

I had one bad battery left from last season. My old Guest charger that was killing one battery every year, so I replaced it with a Pronautic 1220P last season. I replaced both wet cell group 27 dual-purpose batteries with Optima Blue Top group 31 starting / deep cycles this year. I had to buy a new toilet seat because the old one had broken hinges. Everything else seems to be okay.

I'm used to having to do quite a bit more every spring and figure that there's no way in hell I am going to get away that easy. I broke with tradition and signed up for unlimited towing. I've been boating over 10 years now and I've never done that before. I'm hoping that the fact that I have it will prevent me from needing it.

One of my isinglass vinyl windows developed a large split over the winter, so probably going to replace all the isinglass once the local canvas shop acknowledges my presence.

The Pyle 15" LCD TV that the previous owner installed in the aft cabin doesn't turn on. Not sure if it's a power problem or the TV is dead. I hate that Pyle brand, so maybe I'll just replace it with something better.

The Trackvision satellite TV receiver doesn't power up.

After dewinterizing the plumbing system, all the faucet aerators got plugged with some fine white grit. Not sure where that came from, but I replaced the aerators and all is well.

The handheld transom shower broke off of the hose. It appears the hose got hard and needs to be replaced.

The small Norcold cockpit fridge seems to have a bad power supply because it only works on 12V. I'm thinking about removing it and putting in an Isotherm clear ice maker instead.

All of my portable fire extinguishers were from 2005 so I went ahead and replaced them.

Thank the Lord it's all relatively minor stuff that doesn't require a second mortgage (knock on wood).
