what is the latest greatest thoughts/products on cleaning a dirty old deck?

I did although I did wax again quickly by hand afterwards since the mechanical buffing of the drill brush likely strips the surface. Starbrite black streak remover is pretty amazing stuff for those marks, too.

Bought the carpet brushes and pro polish, wow, amazing results. Got deck and walk around done, need to do platform. Alot of work but really looks the best it ever has. Thanks for the tip!

It was pro polish by shurhold. First time I used it and will use from now on.

well, as an update i ended up going with the starbright non skid deck cleaner and used it according to directions as well as using the drill brushes. i was disappointed. some of it came off and was white but there is a lot of stains on my swim deck, that's where i started. 2 applications and still stained up. maybe i'll try some of the other suggestions here and hope they are a little more aggressive than the starbright. i feel like a grinding wheel is about the only thing thats gonna clean it up...

For the swimstep, I use FSR (fiberglass stain remover). https://www.amazon.com/FSR-3000-452...&sr=8-2&keywords=fsr+fiberglass+stain+remover

I use Barkeepers Friend on my teak - it has a mild oxalic acid. When we came up Mobile Bay and the lower Tombigbee, the swim platform nonskid had yellowish brown stains from the water. Susan's go to cleaner is Spray 9 and it did nothing. Tried a little Barkeepers Friend and a brush and in a couple of strokes it looked good as new. Less than $2 at any store...

Went in to west marine for something more heavy duty for the deep stains and he recommended 3m rubbing compound. Id like a second opinion on that...i told him it was for the stains in the nonskid and other products have not worked.
