While in a Nautical Consignment shop I saw several cans, some opened, of wax related products. Despite the eye-roll of the Ms., who comments on my collection of chemicals.... I bought them. One of the was this dandy
Understand guys, I have, and have used, EVERY standard wax/polish/glaze known to man, and some that aren't.:wow:

Although called a polish, it's more of a sealant.
It's called Re-structure Marine Polish. No affiliation. $26.00 for 12oz.. I paid 5 bucks for a unopened can
It states it will last up to 3 years. Website offers several stages of 'cut', then recommends applying the polish by hand.
If if stays looking like this for 3 months, I'll call it a success

I applied it by hand.
Obviously I can't speak for the longevity, but I don't think my boat has ever glistened quite like this.

Looks great.

Q5....2.0 or 3.0?

It's the 2.0. The brake sequel is standard fair on this, and apparently, Quote from the dealer. 'ALL Audi's do that'......It's non repairable, we not even going to address it kinda' normal....

Did you do the "cut" and polish, or just wipe on the polish?

If this is a potential warranty claim, then ask the service manager to go for a test drive with you in a new one. If there's no brake squeal, and he still pushes back, ask to speak with the DSM (district service manager). If, for some reason, it doesn't get resolved, go to an independent Euro shop, and ask them to replace rotors with Textar high carbon, and Akebono Euro Ceramic pads. No more noise, and about 75% less dust on the fronts.

I applied directly, no cut was used. It would have come out better with the full treatment, I'm sure.
My boat has never had a heavy cut applied, Next time I'll do the whole treatment.

The Restructure Marine Polish is sold under the Dulon banner here in Oz - see here

http://www.boatpolish.com.au/products/restructure-polishes-19.htm

I recently had the Dulon system applied to my boat which consists of Poly Polish (compound) and then Dulon 1 & 2 (polish and sealant). I have recently spoken to the Australian Dulon distributor and the Dulon 1 & 2 reportedly provides a higher level of gloss and best for hulls etc whilst the Restructure Marine Polish is recommended on non-skid decks and around exhaust outlets where dirt/staining can occur as the dirt and stains are more easily removed with the Restructure.

Practical Sailor also did a test with other leading brands a little while back and the Restrucure came up very well in the comparison and noted that the water beading was still the same after 3 months as it was when first applied - see here:

Nice article, thanks for the feedback.
I think I'm going to do my car next !

This has really piqued my interest and I've been researching this since I saw the post yesterday. I've watched several youTube videos and read several reviews online. I've seen nothing but rave reviews about how this outperforms everything with gloss and longevity. I'm gonna try it!

Yep, glad to help- I'd be interested to know you thought once applied. The vid's are quite convincing, aren't they ?

It does look impressive but all 5 videos are of the same boat I'd like to see a few more. For $200 per gal they should post more videos.

Following this thread with excited anticipation.

Will we finally disprove the "if it sounds too good to be true" axiom?

My 12oz bottle came in the mail yesterday. I tested it on a small spot on my black gel coat, right next to a newly waxed area. The results were amazing and as close to perfect as I could expect! This area was slightly (very slightly) oxidized and just sort of hazy with fine imperfections. There is a huge difference between this and the waxed area! I applied it using a latex glove per: http://www.marksilvey.com/ApplicatorGuideGlove.pdf

Today I worked on some white interior areas with equally awesome results. This stuff hides small scratches and removes haziness and makes the surface look brand new with very little effort. I haven't been this excited about polish since I discovered Mequiar's #7 back in the early 80's!

Glad to see it's working out for you too, and that I'm not the only one who gets excited over a new polish
Last night after the rain rinsed off the pollen, the Ms. was outside for something, when she came back in she mentioned how 'shiny' the boat was.
Lets hope for some longevity and I'll be one happy camper.

Yes, longevity will seal the deal! I loved polishing my vehicles 30 years ago, but once ever year (or even two or three) sounds awesome to me now!!

Went back and did a check on what's left in the bottle- Looks like I did a 28 ft. boat......

with about 6 ounces..

Guy in the slip next to me--- "Hey Neighbor! Can ya turn down that finish a little bit, I left my dark sunglasses home today".. he jokes....

Can you apply this over the wax or are you guys due for a wax then applying this? I just had the beast waxed so want to make sure I am doing it right.
