Time you update your bio!We are having these guys do the transport http://www.marineservicecompany.com/
We are excited. Have a bunch of work to make her how we want of course. It will be a few month process just getting through that.
Who are you using to transport it? Last week we closed on our new boat, in Texas, and are waiting for it to be transported...
Did you purchase Boiling Oil? That is a sharp boat. My next boat will be a 52 sedan bridge so I have been keeping an eye on the 52 DB market. I am about a year out so I am not ready to pull the trigger yet but that looked like a winner to me.
Congrats, and enjoy. That is a beautiful boat! Is it common to run un-dyed diesel in a Texas boat? The yellow racors cought my eye, and I was curious.
I have no personal experience with the shipping company, but theyes have a great reputation in our area. They hauled a friends 48DA. Thehave some cool videos on YouTube. We are having these guys do the transport http://www.marineservicecompany.com/

Yes, we purchased Boiling Oil (we will have to remove that name before it arrives in Seattle, or else we will get lynched!) We decided to move from our 2008 330 to a 520, as it has exactly what we want, rather than getting an "intermediate" boat.
Unfortunately the travel lift at Eagle Point Marina is broken (that place is the biggest joke), so we are having it "wet loaded" next week.
No but we did look at that boat. The 52 DB is great and if we where to get one it would be a 2010 with the extended aft cock pit. The cabin layout didn't work as well for my wife and I. No kids and rarely even sleep another couple on board. So the 47 Sedan is only slightly smaller than the 50/52 and we get the larger master. We weren't sure how we would like the aft galley but ended up liking it a lot once we finally got to get on a 47 DB. It has the feel of some of the new Searay and azimuts.

Well after 7 months of searching we finally closed on our next boat today. She is an all fresh water 2008 47 sedan bridge, with the lift, low hours, and we even go the teak cockpit we wanted.
We had been very set on a 48 sundancer as our next boat but after 7 months of unsuccessful searching we finally gave in a took a look at one of these. (our broker had been asking us to look at one for months)
It is a departure from the large open cockpit but we really like the space and honestly we rarely need a cockpit the size of the 48 sundancer. We are excited for a new chapter in our boating life this should provide more flexibility in varying weather conditions and multiple social zones. Best of all the admiral loves it and she was the most hesitant to look for anything but a 48 sundancer.
Huge Thank You to many of you on this site(Fwebster, Bmac, Footballfan, and katricol just to name a few) you have helped answer questions. Capt Rusty has been extremely helpful answering my many questions. Truly a great resource.
Now trying to get it trucked across country in the next 7 days!!
