Delta Waterways Closed to Boating

I know. Such a beautiful weekend and couldn't take the boat out. I can't wait for this water to work its way through the delta and out into the bay. I am glad we finally got some rain though!

Just found out the South Delta opened up at 10:00 AM this morning.

Neal

I heard there are restrictions with no use between 2-hours before and 2-hours after high tide?

Say what about the rain Dan? Pretty good downpours this morning. I have no plan on taking the boat out until the first weekend in May. There is still too much debris in the river to make it any fun. I may splash the dinghy though!

The two hours before and two hours after high tide restriction limits boaters to 5 MPH on Old River and some other nearby channels.
There are still some areas closed, but the latest easing helps Discovery Bay boaters.

Yeah, I got caught in downtown Sacramento in one of those downpours walking to work! Oh well, got an extra shower today!

I hope to get the boat out sooner than May. But I know what you mean. There is a lot of debris out there.
