All those poor little snowflakes who are so disheartened since their Hillary lost. They have no clue how to carry on with the rest of their life.

A female friend told me that Hillary lost because all the female voters in FL let her down. I countered with the comment that "Maybe that's because they realize that Hillary lied to them and let them all down." She hasn't spoken to me since. Life has been good.

This equality is a bunch ado about nothing, err in this case how can one get something for nothing. If one can do the job then the only time an equality issue should come into play if one is denied a position do to bias. How about this for an example, women as a Navy Seal, if they can make it good, if not physically able to (Equal to the task) then no go, the same as it is for men. Being a woman has little to do with it and contrary to what the nay Sayer's will lament there is a physical difference between men and women. What the reason is for so many is how can they obtain something for nothing at someone else expense, an example here is I once many years ago while going to college I was hired in with Walmart as was another women about my age, we were both hired to be able to perform the same lifting requirements, 40 pounds I believe. So on the first day we were working together, what does she ask me to do, why move a ladder, claiming the six foot aluminum step ladder was to heavy for her to lift and move. I never moved the ladder.

Same goes for this "single mom" hubris one hears so often. Granted there are some valid "single mom" issues due to divorce or death. But the ones where one is single and decides to have a child, but no husband, boyfriend etc, just be a mom with a child, then when the truth hits about the many things one typically cannot do when raising a child, they now lament about their "single Mom' hardships.

Typical has no idea what she's really stating. I feel ashamed to say I am a woman after watching all those stupid nut jobs! They have no idea on real current affairs and as for Madonna if I had said that stuff I'd be wearing an orange suit!

Britlady, don't be ashamed, hold your head high. They don't represent you or other woman that I feel are the majority. My wife laughs at all this, these protestors are misguided and don't have much in common with these elites. My wife certainly doesn't, and I proud to call her my wife and best friend!

Years ago my brother-in-law (who was already a local police officer) took the state police test and scored somewhere around 95% or so and was not hired because they needed minorities. Several years later his brother took it (was not a police officer at the time) and scored mid 80's and was hired because they had enough minorities at the time. Not trying to say that either brother would have done a better job than the other but geeeeshhhhh. What is wrong with this world when we can't just hire the best available, regardless of race, ethnicity, etc.?

Don't worry. She's probably pissing off someone else and getting thrown off a plane somewhere on her way back to WA. ;~)
Just to be clear on this--it was not my wife who got her panties in a knot over my comment about Shrillary. It was the female half of a couple we are/were friends with.

There are idiots among the protesters.
There are freeloaders among the protesters.
There are fame seekers among the protesters who just want a selfie of them marching, and it doesn't matter for what.
There are bonafide criminals among the protesters doing really crappy things like setting a person's hair on fire, torching cars, and vandalizing and looting their own neighborhoods and those of others.
There are also thinking, researching, calling and writing their elected officials, voting in local/state/national elections, and putting their time and money where their mouths are people among the protesters. (As well as among those who stayed home/stayed at their jobs instead of joining a march.)

Advocating against discrimination in employment practices isn't much ado about nothing, nor is advocating for equal pay for equal work. Neither is a new issue, and neither is likely to be solved by a single administration, no matter whose. Thankfully we continue to make progress on both counts here in the USA, but is it really so horrible for folks to choose to gather and shout as one way to focus attention on issues they find important?

Britlady--point well made regarding Madonna's comments. Because she's a celebrity, and quite possibly because she's a white one at that, she got a pass. Had you or I or any number of other people said the same thing in a coffee shop, a school, or out and about in DC, there's every possibility that at best, there would be an investigation into our email/social media; at worst, there would be a full on SWAT response.

The funniest line I heard about the women's protest march was when a few people at my office we're talking about it on Monday...........

Radical Feminist who said she went to the march (but was really sketchy when asked for specifics): "Well at least we didn't throw bricks through store windows and do stupid damage like that"

Quiet Conservative Republican who rarely speaks: " Of course they didn't. Have you ever seen a girl try to throw".

So much divisiveness and polarization down there. It's really sad to see. I hope your nation can work this out.

I'm going to try not to upset anyone. In the 80's I got my Fire Science degree. The first city I applied to took me thru the complete process of hiring. I made it to the top five of the list. At about the same time afferitage action kicked in, more females, more folks of color. All five of us were passed over (classmates). That city hired three females and two folks of color. Was I bitter, yes very much so! The Dept that did hire me was much smaller but even they were tring to hire females and folks of color. Over the years they hired (over much more qualified folks) around 8 females. Of those only one made it past their first year. One even tried to force the Fire Academy to lessen the requirements to suit a females (her) weaknesses. It took that one over a year to pass a four month class. It was made very clear if you failed any part of the class you were to be let go. Yet the Dept continued to keep her on staff, they even pulled her out after a year and put her on the floor. First fire she was in she had a ceiling tile fall on her air pack. She got full disability and left the Dept.

None of my brothers and sisters in the FD could give a rats a** what sex you were or the color of your skin, we just wanted to be safe and to be able to trust that the other guy would be there when things went down the hill fast!

I love the picture, my wife and two girls only response was "oh my god did she even think about it as she painted it on the poster?!"

t and Mrs Brit, I had to read your posts twice, I wanted to see the female prospective on this. Now I need to go find what Maddona had to say I'm off my soap box now...

Madonna never speaks, only her lips move and hot air comes out, just another insecure female
with a big mouth. If I posted what she said I`d be in lockup right now.

I don't think anyone is saying, at least I can speak for myself, there is anything wrong with gathering for a protest. The way they handled themselves is what is appalling. Such language, such hatred, such divisiveness. Who wants to be a part of that kind of vitriol? Who wants to aline themselves with such a "show" and expect to be taken seriously?

We have come a long way in our country and there is still work to be done. However, this kind of protest is not going to win over the mainstream of women, at least that is my opinion.

They speak of respecting them, yet they show ZERO respect to others who disagree, or who voted the way they didn't.

I’ve read that Madonna wasn’t even a scheduled speaker….how’d that coarse, crusty thing get on the stage? During her feeble attempt at a crowd rousing speech she drops a couple fck u’s, and a threat to the pres.

I wouldn’t have expected much from her anyway after her attempt to raise votes for Hillary….."If you vote for Hillary Clinton, I will give you a blow job, Ok? I'm really good. I'm not a douche and I'm not a tool. I take my time, I have a lot of eye contact and I do swallow," the Material Girl boasted. Brought back some memories for the Clintons I bet.

Angela Davis was a speaker….I doubt many in the crowd even know who she is. A communist, Black Panther supporting terrorist, that should have done some decades in prison….70 some years old and she hasn’t changed, during her speech she called for militant protests.

Protesting is fine with me but after listening to many speeches the crowd was being told nothing was any good about anything….and guess who’s fault it is….If you’re not sure, this quote from Jennifer Lawrence will give a hint,

“Is this the stark reality? It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how qualified you are, at the end of the day, if you’re not a man? Is that what we just learned? This country was founded on immigration and today the only people that feel safe, that their rights are recognized and respected are white men.”

maybe we should ask all the protestors to not accept any of the financial gains in their personal wealth from investments that has already begun as a result of this administration and the business community recognizing what is really getting ready to happen....that would be an indication that they are true dedicated protestors that believe in what they are saying and doing...

manufacturing is being brought back to the US to some degree which will have a significant impact on increasing the number of jobs.....almost every economist believes the way to 'make America great again' is to increase the jobs so the American people can afford to spend money which fuels the economy....if you don't believe the business community has a firm grasp on what is happening and is gaining confidence just look at the records the stock market is setting in spite of all the protests........
