Hi Guys,
Just posting up the Winter Rendezvous info for this year. All of the usual suspects and I have communicated and have come up with a date for the event. As always, all are welcome to partake. For those of you who are unfamiliar with what we do let me break it down. My brother owns a restaurant in Port Jefferson. A few of years ago I thought it would be cool to get together in the dog days of winter for some food, spirits and boat talk! I put out a complimentary buffet with a cash bar. People have travelled from CT, NJ & the Hudson valley at past gatherings. Those people that are not local usually get a room in Danfords for the night as it is a short walk to all the bars/restaurants in the village. Here are the links to the last five parties:

I know Joe has started a similar thread as well regarding this party as he is now retired and not sure what to do with all of his spare time!! :smt043

Here is the important post regarding room rates from Joe's thread:

I apologize for the dual threads but I, as the host, have already heard from other boaters outside of CSR who have attended previously about coming this year and it's just easier for me to add them at 11pm when I'm done running around for the day than trying to relay the info to Joe. Plus, that's usually long after his bedtime....(You know how retirees are)!!:lol:
So guys, Let me know who is interested so we can get you added to the list of attendees! This is open to any member who wants to eat, drink & talk boats so don't be shy!!

Wow! That's quite a ride! We'd love to have you, always nice to meet new boaters & CSR members! I'll start a "Maybe" list and add you to it. No pressure, if you can make it I will just switch you over.!

Haven't heard from Dale I can text him. And I forgot to add Vinny on the first page so I deleted it before you could check.

I'm still around! We've been swamped with family issues lately - Tina's mother had a stroke last month, and she's been in the hospital and rehab quite a lot. She is home now, but requires full time care, as she is paralyzed on her left side. So, at this point in time, we can't commit to anything yet, but we would certainly like to come. We'll just have to wait and see. Also, I was not sure if we were still allowed to come, since we are between boats right now....

Very sorry to hear about Tina's mom. I hope that she makes a full & speedy recovery. I know how hard this can be as my mother has been battling serious health issues for a while and most recently was hospitalized for 5 months knocking on deaths door. Best wishes and prayers from our family to yours.
 
We are up to 50 people and counting! I can't believe that this is the 6th year that we have done this party! Looking forward to seeing everyone!!
