Summer 2016 - Lake St. Clair

Cool!

Do these pics of the indoor storage look familiar? It's my boat sitting inside at MacRay before I bought her. Looking at your video was like a step back in time. Thanks for sharing it.

Yep, I dinghy through those garage slips a couple of times a summer. MacRay just got new owners last year. They've been upgrading a lot of items at the marina.
Wow, so you bought her in Michigan and got her out to Washington.

Great video.... Where are you at 2:50 ?

I believe that is back in Fisher Bay. The lakes levels have been up the past couple of years so everyone now anchors in Fisher Bay. When water levels are down we usually only make it into Goose Bay.

Thanks Jim! The drone is a Phantom 2 with a GoPro 3+. Back when I bought it, it was kind of expensive. But, I bet you can get great deals on them now. If you are looking for one of the best drones on the market now, I would look at the Mavic Pro. It's DJI's latest drone.

Yup. She was disassembled at MacRay, loaded on two trucks (one for the boat, one for the flybridge, and trucked to Portland, OR for reassembly.....

Arrived on Portland, now the work starts to put her back together.

Great job kaguilar, I'll be watching that video a few times this winter. Lots of familiar sites on your video. A friend of mine has a cottage by the one you were at on the middle channel, just a little south right before you get to Browns. I'm over at Beacon Cove.

Great video, I too will be watching it a few times this upcoming winter. Many familiar spots, just can't wait to get back out there.
Home port is Bouvier Bridge Marina (right next to the Raft), spend a good amount of time at Munchie's Bay and in the flats bopping around in the dinghy.

I'm over at Belle Maer. Lots of good memories in that video. Thanks.
Thanks magstang1. I read your posts on LSCN. Nice Mainship! Feel free to swing by if you ever see me out on the lake. I always (well most of the time) have some beer on board.

Thanks Ezsteps! I think my main motivation for these videos is to help make it through the winter. Yeah, I would love to own a cottage on the Middle Channel/Fisher Hwy (the cottage in the video is a friends). It's a great area to boat. If you ever see me out there, feel free to swing by. There's always a beer in the fridge (usually Blue Moon).
