Hey guys, any help would be greatly appreciated here. This is not something i really want to "experiment" with on how to properly use or clean.

BTW, i did download the manual from SR.com but its only 26 pages long and gives absolutely no in depth or detailed info on how to properly operate or clean any of the accessories on the boat.

You need to get a chemical to control the smell. Go to Walmart and look in the RV isle. Pull out the "trap door" and pour in a few ounces of chemical. On the back right there should be a screw top. That leads to the water tank. You need to fill that with water. Behind that should be an accordian type "pump". When you depress this it should transfer water from the tank to the bowl. That is how mine works, but it looks much older than yours and I have a pump out which it doesn't look like you have. If you don't you have to take the toilet off the boat and empty it manually. FWIW.

Tim, thanks so much for the info.

I do have a port on my port side hull that is a "pump out" port, but i don't understand how it connects to the tank

There should be 2 hoses that come out of the back wall and go into the porta potti. The bigger one is the pump out hose and the smaller one is the vent hose.

Sorry guys, have another question...

When i purchased my boat the cooler was not included and I want to find an exact fit for the storage locker behind the helm. In this thread back from 2012 there is a link to the cooler but its no longer available. Any suggestions on a cooler that fits perfectly in that compartment?

Would any of you guys be able to provide a link to the cooler where i can find the dimensions, or possibly post the dimensions of the cooler that fits into the slot behind the helm inside the cabinet?

Hello everyone! Great thread! I've read all of the posts here from the beginning and there's a ton of good information. I'm in the process of purchasing a 2007 250 SLX and am wanting to install the optional fridge. Does anyone have experience with this retrofit? Looking at pictures, it seems like the stock "cabinet door" might be taller than the fridge height. Is a filler panel needed? Or is it a simple installation using the cabinet door cutout? Any insight would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

No experience with fridge. That said I believe a prerequisite for the slx line is shore power. So this could be a big project - Please correct me if I'm wrong. IMO it's just extra weight. I have a 270 SLX w/o fridge and like the extra storage space.

Thanks for the quick reply. I believe the fridge option is listed as "12v" only. Not 100% sure though. I understand the advantage of storage space! I've also read about the fridge not being very effective. I live in a cooler climate, so at least that helps. But having a fridge (and a sink and a head) is something that is really important to me. Thanks again!

I have the factory fridge on my 270 slx. There is not a filler panel on mine. It is a 12v only model from the factory. It works great but we really don't use it much. Keep in mind it will drain a battery so having the shore power and a charger is really a needed part of the install.

Thanks for the info, Paul! Yes, I imagine you'd have to be kinda careful to not run down the batteries if you're away from a charger and the boat was not running for a while!

Definitely need shore power. I must have turned off the charger one weekend, and by mid week, I was scratching my head trying to figure out what the different lights blinking in the fridge meant. I live in NJ and the contents of the fridge are very cold even when it is baking under the canvas.

Does anyone know the model number for the depth transducer used in my '07 250 SLX? It has the first generation Smartcraft gauges, and I believe it's a depth/temp unit. Thanks!

Been a while since any updates to this thread... I just bought a 2007 250SLX and am really excited to head out for the summer. Quick question--has anyone installed any speakers in the rear under the sun pad facing the swim deck?
