Going to install new impellors and fire up motors - if I can run the boat and take it for a cruise I will be a new owner ! Anyone here own one ever seen one or know some one who owns one ? I know a forum member "Leafy Isle" in B.C. used to but not had luck reaching him.

Looks like they made 69 of them in 82-83 and it uses the 355/36 aft cabin hull

Regards,

Dennis

welcome ,pictures are needed as i have never heard of such a beast.

I used to be moored next to one. She didn't have any badges so it took awhile to figure out what she was.
Welcome aboard.

Welcome aboard. Love to see some pics. I just looked it up on archives and it looks to be a mighty fine vessel.

Hi Dennis, we own a 355T that we purchased last year. Ours is diesel powered twins, a really fine vessel so far. Would like to share information with you. And yes, they did make only 69 of them. We have run into a couple of them but have not had really any luck with sharing information. Our boat is not the aft cabin model, it is the sedan. Can we use this forum to share info? We are located in Washington State in Bellingham, a small town close to the Canadian border. Where are you? Did you purchase or no? Regards, Jim

I realize this is an old thread and very few of these out there. But looking for real world numbers I am looking at an 82 with a pair of mercruiser 260's.
Curious what economical cruise speed Is. I' thinking 10 to 11knots Also curious about fuel burn.
V drive or Direct dive.

Wish I could find a diesel but the gasser is whats available.

hi new to forum just acquired a 355t and we are happy, awesome space and solid in the water.

looks great good luck with it. Repowered ? when, I see it says v/6 what hp?

no still v6 crusaders 165hp so the book says , thanx mate awesome to speak to like minded people

Very nice looking boat, welcome aboard. Curious, that looks like a planing hull form so did Sea Ray just way under power a planing hulled aft cabin and call it a trawler? Got any interior pictures, looks to be very roomy and comfortable. Very modern looking lines for an '82.

Just looked at the catalog linked in the archives above, that is a very nice looking boat on the interior, the hull styling was about ten years ahead of its time. Still looks good even today.

thanx Scorpio will post some interior pics soon you are probably right about the under powering of his boat, haven't heard of anyone with bigger motors, and if it would then plane?

I didn't take into account the TRAWLER designation(slow) therefore I thought it had been repowered with v/6. For that purpose its probably plenty of power.

Newbie here but i have owned my 355t sedan bridge for 5 years and love it.
I am beginning the proccess of replacing the v6 engines with mercedes turbo diesels for longer range cruising.

I am fortunate that this has, always been a fresh water boat.

Just for reference I slow cruise at 6-6.5 mph and get over 3.5 mpg and my regular cruise is about 13mph at roughly 2 mpg.
Everything on this boat is still original minus a couple of pumps and the fridge.

We cruise at 7.5 to 8 knots with about 3 GPH. These are direct drive inboards. Love this Boat! We have made extensive upgrades to her. Really am enjoying her. Ours is diesel Perkins twins.

I'm looking for an 1981-82 355t Sedan Bridge, preferably in Florida, Alabama or Mexico. Diesel powered or high time engines are preferred as I would repower with diesels. Project ok (all boats are a project) but not a salvage.

I have twin 260's in my 89 300 sedan bridge. I burn 5gph at 6-7 knots (1500rpm) and have good helm. I've tried running on one engine but of course need much more power and save little and helm is sketchy.

I have sold the 89 305 sedan bridge here in Mexico, and have bought a 1982 355t sedan bridge with twin Perkins. It's in NY and I plan to cruise it down to Florida in May,
