Shout-out to live-aboards

Cedar Point is so well known in the Great Lakes that I tend to assume that the whole country is familiar with it. As cool as CP is, my mailing address in Michigan is probably the coolest I'll ever have:

I wouldn't pay a million dollars for it, but my view is pretty cool too: (Valravn, the brand-new drop coaster)
I've read some amazing stuff about the new coaster. It won't be for me. I'm pretty much an old school wooden frame guy, the one at CP is good, the Beast at Kings Island I like. There's one coaster at CP that's pretty tame, you hang down in a row of seats that glide around a long tube. That was fun.... but this is about live-aboards... so...

How long is the boating season realistically in that area?

We live on our 500DA, and have for the last 7 yrs. We sold our house, put everything into storage also (what a waste ) Original plans were to buy another house at the beach near our boat. Prices in this area were shooting up by the hour, so decided to wait and let the dust settle. After a few years, we decided we loved living on the boat, so stopped looking for houses. The 500Da in very comfortable, massive bed, great shower and large living area. We also have camper canvas, so a large area to sit outside as well. So 7 years later, stuff still in storage, have probably paid more for storage than the stuff in it is worth (haha). Our future plan is to move to northern Florida in a few years. all we gotta do is start the boat and go.
Showed this post to my wife to support the idea that some women can live on a larger DA without feeling like a cave...I'm presuming the "we" in your post means a man and woman, maybe I shouldn't presume. Anyway, the camper canvas on the huge cockpits of the 500's, 520 and 540...that's a lot of open space there.

Roughly six months. I'm usually in by mid-April and pull out the second or third weekend of October.
Wow! Thanks Pete! My home homeport is central Ohio and I have ALWAYS been told... not by dedicated boaters though, the boating season on Erie is end of May to mid September! That's very good news! Granted...lol, we both know it's still cold in mid-April, but...you're in the water and on your boat.

It is my wife and I, we like the cave, gives us more privacy. Camper canvas is great, just had 10 people for cocktails

I have been showing the new 510 SD to my bride as a possible future boat. When likes the walk around bed in the master stateroom and the open feel in the cabin.
