2013 Chesapeake Bay Gathering?

Slip assignments are in. The dockmaster said we had a few cancellations. I know Jon is coming with Camella so I plan to call in the AM to see who all has cancelled just to be sure this is accurate. Ill post any updates then.

We will lose one more, Finnattick had to cancel due to family emergency, We are still coming, waiting on the weather, still hoping to leave this afternoon, if not Saturday early.

Wow Jim you are really on top of things. Thank you.

Sent you an email on this. We'll be there by noon Saturday. Weather scared me off for getting there late today.

We finally made it, bad wreck at Hagerstown, had to take detour on 40. They were saying 3 hr traffic jam, then Bay bridge was also jammed up to Davidsonville, another detour through College Park. Can't wait to meet everyone.

James, just wanted to thank you for taking the time to pull this event together. Deb & I had a great time & I think everyone else did also. I was also nice to put faces to our members and share stories. Thanks to all who attended. He'll we even had good weather!

+2 James, thanks and we really enjoyed getting to know everyone. and a great marina for a weekend get away.

It must have been a great weekend; there were no updates the entire time! Can't wait to hear how it went and see some great photos. Maybe next time we'll be able to make it also.

James great job on the event! Nice meeting new folks and putting faces to names. The weather was great and the ride down and back was flat calm for us. Take Care!

James, thanks for setting this up, Gretch and I had a blast. It was fun meeting everyone, for me one night was too short but that just means we need to do it again. I think a large raft up is due, thoughts?

James, Thanks for putting it together and Thanks to to all for the dingy help, I did get it running, no issues.

Thanks to everyone for joining in and making both the overall event and the Saturday evening potluck pier-side picnic a success. I had a great time meeting and getting to know you all. This was a weekend of first meetings, first tropical storm (Friday), maiden voyages for the season, and even some first overnighters. Thankfully the weather gave us a break after a bit of rain Saturday before lunch, and Mears treated us well, even allowing us to stay past the usual checkout times. Hopefully everyone made it home safely.

I know those of us aboard Offshore Investment took full advantage of the pool, facilities, and the first real boating-weather weekend on Saturday and Sunday! We left Mears at 1:45 Sunday and headed out the North side of the Narrows and over for a first visit to Dobbins Island in the Magothy on the way home. Finished up back in the South River at Harness Creek for dinner on the hook before heading back to the pier around 6:45.

I’ll try to get some pictures of the picnic up if they came out decently. I had planned to have some mid-event posts and pictures posts, but I left my iPad at home while hurrying to get on the water before the rain. Good plan, poor execution!

I hope the raft up thread gets legs and we are able to put something together. There seemed to be a lot of interest this past weekend, and it would be another first for a lot of us. Here's the thread, lets see if we can bump it and get some traction.
