anyone aggravated with this weather?

65* degrees one day.. snow the next...

now they are calling for more snow this weekend.. seriously..

Winter go home your late and drunk..

It's been blowing a gale even on the good days. Bad part is it's been blowing the water out of the Chesapeake Bay. So far, Spring sucks!

84 when I made it home tonight, supposed to hit 90 tomorrow but rain in the weekend forecast! Heading out on the water for 3 days anyway!!

our mooring cover is covered in snow, the one side of the hull I managed to get compounded and waxed is repelling the snow well enough at least. I'm still hoping for the 3rd week of april for launch but I have plenty of polishing and some other jobs to do prior. I'm also hesitant to fire up the mains until I know we're clear of freezing nights, but I really want to run them on muffs before we splash.

I was scheduled to go in on the 11th but I'm going to change it thanks to this crap weather. Snow, rain, snow, rain, wtf.

It's been windy here but the wind is gone and it's supposed to get to the mid 80's this week. I'm ready.

Super aggravated. I am scheduled to go in the week of the 18th. That's a lot of preparing the boat in the cold. Brrr.

Yes...

The marina pulled our boat out of storage on Friday so we could get it prepped and ready for launch on Sunday. We got the bottom painting done before the rain and sleet and cold temps came through, but it delayed the rest of our work progress.

Our new launch date is this Saturday morning. We'll go again on Friday to hopefully finish our pre-launch work. They're calling for 32 and snow on Saturday, but as long as the marina is willing to hoist our boat in the water, it's going in!

Thankfully, we have heat! It's supposed to start warming up again on Monday!

I had planned to launch on the 15th, but the lake level is not going to make it. Hoping for the 22nd now. We need some RAIN!

Weather looks good for our N. Myrtle to Charleston trip this weekend though!

Seriously. Got most of my projects done. Just waiting to fire everything up and make sure I'm good before splashdown.

I took the shrink wrap off the last weekend in March and push broomed off the snow monday so the cover wouldn't collapse!
Hopefully get some waxing done this weekend....maybe a little cold but...

Learned my lesson last year... Splashed in the beginning of May only to have her sit at a cold, windy, wet dock for a full month before taking a short cruise the first week of June!

:smt089 That's a depressing story... I hope that won't be the case for us. It's supposed to start warming up here on Monday.

Fingers crossed...

Shooting for splashing Beginnings in Buzzards Bay around May 1st, we'll see if the weather gods cooperate.

We've gotta be in by Saturday the 14th. (That's opening weekend at the Chart Room... http://www.chartroomcataumet.com/ ...since we helped them close the place last Columbus Day, it would be rude to not show up on the boat again for opening weekend! We're part of the unofficial Mudslide quality control testing team.)

Fortunately, this season I'll have a full stand up camper enclosure aft of the radar arch, so those cooler early season days will be more tolerable!

I changed mine from 4/11 to 5/1. I terrified to start everything up and leave it sit over night with only water in the block right now. @ be prepared, the camper was the best thing I bought last season, what a difference in usable space.

They managed to put my Garmin in and letter the stern, but we had to cancel delivery to this thursday. at least we didnt get the 2 inches of snow they were forcasting.

we're going in 4/22. Forecast looks good this weekend and into next week, lowest night temp I see is 36* and most of the days are 55-65 so hopefully we've turned a corner

about 5-6 boats already in the water at our marina
