My Dad (Donald Wieber) was involved with bouncing the laser off the moon. Does that count? Apollo 11 placed a laser reflector on the lunar surface, and they fired a laser from Lick Observatory on Mt Hamilton, bounced it off the reflector and caught some of the returning light. My Dad designed and built the device that caught the returning light. I got to be in the press room for the experiment, and it was awesome. I was 10 or 11 years old. Guys were walking around in "space suits" because they needed a dust free environment to bounce the laser through the mirrors on the telescope. One spec of dust the VERY expensive mirrors would overheat and crack the second the laser went on. Not nearly as cool as building the Voyager, but still up there with "satellite Scientist".
Jennifer and I have toyed with using the Miami Boat Show as an excuse to tour Miami. If we got a wild hair and flew out there, do you have any advice as to what Hotel we should try to call? It seems some have water taxi service to the show. Sounds fun.

You need to book one on Collins Ave! That's right where Sea Ray has their boats and where all of the big boats and yachts are located.

The show this year has a new location. I don't believe there will be anything on Collins Ave. According to the show's website Sea Ray will be displayed in Tent A and Booth's 707 & 708 in the water.

Sounds like Collins-ish would be best. I do like to walk the shows and see what is cool, and new, but plan-A would be to see the new Sea Rays. I am pretty last minute on this idea and we are juggling off days to see if it makes sense for his year. Both Myself and the Admiral are ready for a few day break, and Miami does sound like a nice choice in February. Thanks! I would LOVE to tour the factory sometime, but right now MIAMI has nicer ring to it!

Cap'n Rusty, always pictured with the loveliest ladies! ;-)

Im looking for a new searay 350 or Regal 35 SC. Do they typically display boats these sizes or just like 45s and up? Thank you!

As the show gets closer (it's in Feb.) you'll be able to search to see exactly what boats will be there.
