due to the slant, size and position of the windshield on my boat sections of the inside of the windshield are pretty hard to reach to clean......anyone have a suggested cleaning method that would help or found some sort of apparatus to help clean the windows?.....

thanks....

Painting pole, Home depot has cleaning ends that screw on. I use glass cleaner then a rag on the end of the pole. Works like a charm. Easy to reach !!!

I had one of those. The sun eat it up after a few years The plastic gives up. The good thing is you can take the end off and put it on any painting poll to give you more length. I went the other way after it broke. I'm cheap!!!!

thanks Mike....I plan t keep it stored inside a cabinet when not in use so the sun exposure should not be a issue....

Another store to check is Bed, Bath and Beyond. They sell all kinds of cleaning gizmos. Mine is similar to some of the prior posts.

If you end up liking it, go to the site below when you're ready for refills....right now the deal is free shipping on orders over $149, but $4.99 flat rate shipping on orders over $49. I just ordered the mop kit plus an extra mop, to have one for the boat and one for the cars. Ended up with 2 mops, 12 bonnets, and 2 cans of cleaner for over $30 less than what the same items would have cost me on Amazon.

This place has something like that as well, AND free shipping this week on orders over $49. I have NO affiliation with this site, but have spent thousands there and always had great service.

Cliff,
I have 2 of those 1 for the boat 1 for the car, if you have some water spots I first use some Bar Keepers Friend in liquid paste then follow it with the Stoner Invisible Glass in the aerosol spray can it sprays on white so you see where you're spraying it then use a microfiber cloth. If you use it on a patio door be careful it's that clean. I get it at HD it's only $2.49 there.

Along the same lines, how do you get the dead bugs (wasp, flies, etc.) that get in the drain grove at the base of the windshield?

Inside the windshield, I use a Swiffer Duster wand....or my Dirt Devil hand vac with the flexible hose and crevice tool.

I can't even get the crevice tool in there. I would guess at its narrowest point, the distance between my windshield and dash is maybe 1/4". Definitely less than 1/2".

I use a can of air to blow out the bugs the a soft wet rag on the end of a squeegee to wipe out any dust. Do not use Windex on the glass! Unger make some great glass cleaners that will do the job much better and not leave a wax coating behind

The crevice tool doesn't get all the way there, but it has enough suction to do the job. Alternately, I've turned the Dirt Devil into a blower a couple of times, too--remove the bag and attach the flexible hose and crevice tool to the output side.

thanks for all the input....I ended up getting two of the cleaning tools...I will use one for the cleaning pad and one for the polishing pad....this way I won't have to swap heads back and forth.....

I have found that an angled tip paint brush works well for cleaning crevices......if you cant reach the crevice you can tape the handle of the paint brush to a pole......

I use a small portable air compressor set to 100psi after soaking the area down with a cleaner, great to blow out all the gunk that accumulates around the boat like around the engine hatches, I blow out all the thru hulls too, then just vacuum it up if it doesn't blow over board.

Big thing here. Do not use those pads for anything other than the glass cleaning. When you wash them do not use fabric softener. It will come out of the pads and back onto the glass.

Yes! I do clean windows and glass for a living
