CSR Northeast Flotilla 2015

Bummer, were home!!!! 9 days on the boat and I need to get my land legs back. What a blast this trip was. A little bit of everything and some do nothing time if you wanted!!! These trips are getting better and better. I'd like to thank Alex for all his hard work yet again. We had a few newbies join us and they can't stop praising the organization of the trip and are planning to come back every year now. Anyone who's ever wondered if it's for them? Guess what? It's for everyone. Just sign up next year and see.

well said Joe! We also want to say Thanks to Alex as well for all of his hard work in planning a great trip!! It was wonderful seeing everyone again and making some new friends.

Sunrise at block. Just before everyone left this am. Thanks Alex. It was a great time as always. Great seeing and meeting everyone. Safe travels

Well, looks like the wid finally died down. It was blowing yesterday. Unfortunately my view outside my window was not as nice this morning as those pics.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for allowing to join your BI raft up on short notice. Nice to meet everyone and talk boats. At Newport now....in the rain. Crossing from BI yesterday was perfect. Maybe we can join the full trip next year.
Happy Motoring!
Ed

Hey all, as usual the family had a blast on this year’s Flotilla. It was great to see friends from previous trips as well as meeting new ones. I can't believe how lucky we got with the weather. As always a huge shout out to Alex for putting this together. I made a few edits to one of the drone vids via the gopro software (not bad for a free app). Next year I think i'll invest in a gimbal to help in stabilizing the video. Below is a YouTube link to one of the videos as well as a link to the drone I was using as a few people had inquired.

Great vid Dean. Where's the squid?

It didn't come out as clear as I had hoped. It was still way too dark with the underwater lights.

As always, we had awesome time being around great group of friends. Very nice pics and videos, guys. Nice work on the Drone, Dean.

I have tons of pics. It'll take me some time to get them sorted out. I'll post my report as soon as I'm done with it.

I just can't believe that our trip is over already...

Awesome time was had by all JV crew. We were in such good company. Thank you all! Great video Dean!

Great pics you really captured the fun we all had. Thanks for sharing Harold see you on the hook soon.

What Charting software is that? Is there anyway to get a a high res image? I would love to do something like this one season, having the tracks would give me so much comfort in knowing I am not going to be in 1 foot of water just like that. It's really once I get west of West Hampton that I get a little squirrelly. I know there are some tricky channels entering the shinecock area from the west via the inside... Thanks for sharing, looks and sounds incredible!

unfortunately, the image resolution is the best I can do. The chart program is Earth NC on my iPad. I use my Northstar 6000i on the boat and the iPad as a backup. I too got a little confused coming into Shinnicock Bay from the inside and missed the channel. Too many channel markers In a small area. Thankfully the water did not get too skinny and I was able to meander back to the channel. We too did not think we would venture that far, but as time went on ot got easier. Going in the group definitely helps too. We most likely would not have made the trips we did without going with the group.
