  • No, thanks. I am not interested in your dumb rendezvous. I do not want to meet anyone new.

Sounds good to me, but can we please not schedule it for a holiday weekend again? I think we'll get better turnout if we're not completing with other family plans.

I would be in for spring, but would like to see something a little more central if possible. Perhaps Solomons Island? I have never been by boat and was only there for 15 minutes at night the one time I went by car. I am am not sure it is appropriate to our needs, but it seems more central and a much more reasonable ride for us upper Potomac folks.

Correct, no holiday weekend
Probably after school is out
Solomon's is a possibility-

we need a marina that can handle 25 - 30 boats, keeping them in reasonable proximity to each other
that has something to do close by for folks when they are not socializing with each other

so, that starts to limit the locations right form the get go

We'll do some scouting around over the next few months and start a new Chesapeake Bay Rendezvous thread in January.

I'm in for the Spring. Another function that may appeal to perhaps estoltz for the up close Molotov Cocktails fireworks and riot action during the month of October is the trial for the Baltimore 6 which is scheduled to begin. That will surely cripple my chances at any fall gathering.

Just got an offer accepted (verbally) today. Assuming I can get the survey, trial and transferring done in time, I'd be interested. If not, the spring for sure.

I'll pass thanks.

Solomons would probably get a larger draw from the potomac crowd.

We maybe in now... When you pick the date, we will decide... Would have to after school gets out...

Please add Deb Find'er II to the potential list of attendees for a spring rendezvous.

Herrington Harbor North or South both could handle that many, has beautiful facilities, and is centrally located.

Mears Kent Narrows handled us nicely and we were able to use the pier-side picnic tables with overhead coverage without charge. Also has a nice big pool and multiple restaurants and bars within easy walking distance.

Maybe. For those interested, there's a Sea Ray Reunion in July in Cambridge, MD put on by Clarks Landing. Info in on their website.

All are good ideas. We'll restart the conversation in a month or two.

So what ever happened with this?

If Rick isn't interested in participating hopefully someone else will step up with a plan.

I'm not the best planner or self starter so I doubt I could really pull off a successful rendezvous. It would be nice to get CSR members more involved in group activities. I for one am tired of meeting up with the same old people.

It also would be nice to meet a mix of different style boaters.
