i replaced the small TV with a 28" HD LED flatscreen TV....i just bolted the stand that came with the TV to the turntable....works great and the bigger TV completely closes the hole in the cabinet...we can view the TV from the dinette and from the V berth bed...

we played with the idea of using the cabinet space for a wine rack...the turntable would be removed and the rack would be mounted to the sliding tray....the rack could be pulled out to select the wine and then pushed back into the cabinet and locked in place when not in use....

Looking to convert salon lighting to LED light bulbs. I have 2004 340 Sundancer. Can anyone share a link to find these exact replacement bulbs?

can you post a pic of that install? That's a big TV to put there...seems to me like it would overlap quite a bit of the cabinet space and extend into the berth area.

yeah, i'll take a couple pics this WE....the TV does overlap the cabinet opening but not as much as you think....the TV will not fit inside of the cabinet opening but the overlap is not bad....the way i installed it the sliding tray/turntable will not go all the way back to the 'lock' position....to keep the TV in check while the boat is moving i use a simple bungee cord pulled underneath the TV stand an connected to the back of the sliders for the tray and to black drawer pulls i installed on front of the tray....when not in use the bungee cord goes back under the TV into the cabinet and not seen....the pics i will post later will do a better job showing this set up...i installed a Blu Ray player on the turntable directly behind the TV with heavy duty velcro.....since the TV is elevated a couple inches from the tray with the TV stand the remote control for the Blu Ray player works well since there is a direct line of sight between the player and the remote...seems to work pretty well for us....other opinions may vary....

since the tray does not slide all the way back into the cabinet there is some space left in the cabinet between the end of the tray and the back wall of the cabinet opening...i have found that this is just the right amount of space to store a 1/2 gallon of Jack Daniels and a 6 pack of ginger ale........

I turned my old tv cubby hole into a pantry. I installed a cabinet door over the hole and mounted a 24" led tv to the door face.

Cliff I think the locking mechanism or catch on the bottom of the sliding tray is only attached by 2 small screws. Did you try to reposition it to lock the tv against the wall. Not positive it would work but just a thought.

no Sam, i did not look that close at the locking mechanism to see if it can be repositioned....good thought though....i'll check it out this WE....

that would be great...that would be a heck of alot easier than mounting a flat screen on the aft cabin wall......+1 on the Jack and Ale hiding place

we have the floor plan that has a l___l shaped dinette...we thought about installing the TV on the aft cabin wall but it would be difficult to watch the TV from the dinette....plus the sloped wall would require some type of special mount that includes a hinge to allow the bottom of the TV to swing down to get into viewing position....if we had the floor plan that has the traditional shaped dinette the aft wall mounting would be a viable option since two people could sit on the same side of the dinette to watch the TV...

yeah....I've got the same set up....Masterfab actually makes a really cool bracket to mount the TV....the problem is getting all the cabling over to that side of the boat.

And I sell those brackets, so if you want to put a TV on your aft cabin bulkhead, let me know. There are a couple tricks to routing the cables that save a lot of time too - it's really not that bad. Then, you can use the empty cubby for storage, or make it into a blender/food processor area like I did.

Ordered them.
Thanks,

Have you had time to instal your new vent grills? Mine came today and they look like they will be an easy swap. What do you think about caulking them in. Mine dont look like they are caulked so i was wondering if I should caulk and if so what kind? 3M4000?

Boat is still on the hard and shrinkwrapped. I won't be doing this for a couple more months yet. I hate winter!

I installed new ones on my boat, very easy and used 4200 caulk.

i need to replace the 6 gallon hot water heater in my 340....tried to do a google search for the Sea Ray part number (1142496) but came up empty...anyone have the info for a HWH that is a direct replacement for the original one?....since the vacuflush vacuum tank sits on top of the HWH i would like to get a direct replacement that has the same dimensions to keep the vacuflush tank and plumbing in alignment....

thanks...

Started having some idling issues after running the engines at cruising speed for a couple of hours. One the engines idles at 1700 RPM after a run like that. If I turn the engine off and re-start the engine it then returns to normal idle. Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions on what the culprit might be? Thanks

I received my replacement am/fm antenna from Glomex and it came with a new wire. My question is where does it connect to in the arch, by one of the speakers?
