Impressive. Who took the photo?

It was like a lake out there! I hope it keeps up next week as I will be down in the bay.

We had small craft advisory in the Bay Monday afternoon, but we snuck in underneath the weather and had beautiful conditions. Ran at speed the whole way. Weather had been set down for a few days before the trip down Saturday. There was mixed swell outside with NW @about 4 feet on 8 seconds and SW @ about 3ft at 13 seconds. We went early so everything was smooth and rolly with nothing sharp or breaking until late afternoon when the wind came. At which time we were happily tied to the dock having a drink:grin: May I ask your "down bay" plan? We are home ported at Emery Cove yacht Harbor in Emeryville. I will be Yachting (working on the boat at home) Saturday, and we are planning lunch at the Pasta Pelican on Sunday.

I will be in Vallejo/Napa this weekend then at Jack London Square near the fuel dock Sunday afternoon through next Saturday.

Wow, you really scored with the weather. Is that near Mavericks? Also, what water temps are you having up there?

2000SR380, I recognized my old boat (Romantic Dancer). I'm glad you are making a good use of her. She still looks very good. The two 8.1s are a dream.

With any luck we will be right across from Jack London Square on Sunday. We will cruise by the fuel dock after lunch and look for you.

Yes, and yes. The big wave surf competition takes place just off Pillar Point. Water temps this time of year are like 62F-65F

Yes, you are correct in recognizing your old boat. You really had kept her in great shape. We are getting to trust each other and she has taken very good care of us. As a former sail boat owner, I do not really like admitting that we are not hating the 'dark side' as much as I thought. My wife is a full on convert to power. She says she is glad we had the sail boats first, and enjoyed the trips we took but she is not going back.

Nice shots. Looks like a great time.
It was a great event! We had eight EYC Boats including two Sea Ray's. The other seven boats all arrived Friday. Due to work constraints, we joined the party Saturday morning. We had a welcoming committee come out to meet us in the Commodore's Protector, and Paul Records got those great shots of us coming through the reef. Pillar Point is a great destination and we have a fun group.

Photo's are by Paul Records. Commodore of the EYC, and owner of a Sea Ray 340DA.
Just for fun, here is our iPhone video of the photo boat. The Protector is available for charter through Seaward Coastal Ventures Incorporated in Emeryville.

Beautiful area. I spent my college years up there. Looks like you are hitting it hard on your SR. I have not been under the GG Bridge for many years. Next time you (or Ken) go under, can you post a video?
